Neat video Tyson. I collect Japanese pokemon cards because: (1) Better card quality and finer texturing (2) Much more affordable (3) I love the aesthetics of Japanese text. Being able to read the card isn't important to me, I collect for the artwork. I also do the same in Yu-Gi-Oh! I can see why English is way more expensive, so I am relieved I'm not in that market. If I collected English, my collection would be tiny since I wouldn't be able to afford much.

im in japan. a booster box here cost 5500 yen about for 30 packs. packs out of japan are crazy expensive.

The whole fun for me is the pack opening if I got all the singles by buying already pulled ones it would such for me

My thought process in this hobby: Buy the singles you want, keep the ETBs sealed.

I grabbed an astral radiance box on Black Friday, for £30. I pulled about £45 worth of cards plus all the other stuff in there, On the contrary I managed to get a booster pack of 36 packs for £115 and got way less than that, maybe £40 max. Literally full of Koraidon non holo's. You're probably right on the odds but there's something i really like about a ETB.

All depends on how you look at it too. I live in Japan, sure the cards are worth less, but it also means they are cheaper and easier to get. Also pull chances are way higher.
