    Do you have a video on how to adjust the front brake and brake lever? I’m having a hard time with mine.

      @@thegearcage6595 Hello, thank you for watching. I don't have a video on that, but you can easily adjust for cable slack etc by adjusting the lower cable end nut/wing nut by which you can tailor your brake cable tension to suit your sense of 'feel', or to account for brake shoe wear. Sometimes you can effect some improvement of efficiency of brake 'bite' by repositioning the brake hub operating arm by one spline this way or that, and thus generally setting it up such that the brake shoes are beginning to bite hard when the operating arm is at 90 degrees to the direction of cable pull. Always take great care to test whatever adjustments you have made thoroughly before you commit to driving upon the public roads. I am assuming of course that your brake shoes do have a serviceable thickness of friction material in situ, for if not then new shoes (or having them re-lined) might be a way forward. Kind regards.

      @ Thanks so much for your reply. I am new to the CJ750 and side car and so far it has been difficult to get any advice as I try to get the bike up and running. I made adjustments at the wing nut adjustment but the hand brake lever still pulls all the way to the handle bar I will take the hub off and check the brake shoes and make sure everything is as it should be inside the drum. I hope you don’t mind me asking you for advice going forward. Thanks Davy

(Link included) I cant help with identifying what the plant actually is but my Grandma had a vine that looked like that, it produced weird spikey fruit that looked like Lychee's. The spikes were very fine, see-through, and extremely painful if one stabbed you. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leaf_miner

      If you at part 1 (#1) of the Wasdale and Eskdale E bike tarp camping series on this channel, you will see the panniers at around the 2.00min timestamp. They are generic all in one bicycle thow-over panniers ie, both bags incorporated with a common saddle bridging strap as a one piece set. You just need to be careful to rig them such that the bags cannot interfere with the wheels. Thanks for watching.

In that video I think I show how the trailer spigot-plate is attached to the end of the rear wheel axle, and held there by a dome headed nut. I don't know the make of my trailer, but if it is for camping only in your case, I would recommend a box/cargo trailer instead of the child trailer you see here. Kind regards.

    I forgot to mention that the red brick building behind the railway station was demolished by the guy who gave you permission to film. Peter Cairns He then used at and all theland behind it as storage. When I had the House of Lords cleared Iwas told to store all of the bricks , Which I did behind the railway club once Peter cleared most of his bricks etc . However after a few deliveries the guy who carrying out the demolition work at the HOL Mike Marsh stopped taking the bricks to the railway and stole all of them .He also left the HOL in a hell of a mess . I have reported to the police but so far nothing.Not even interested. I have reported to the owners of that part that I don't own Steven Horrocks and Dave Cross but they are not interested either. They did however come and arrest me for breaking My gates ( I have the receipt ) When Peter Cairns tried to stop me going to my property to store my bricks . Closing the gates and placing his truck in front of it . I hired a dumper off the best mid size plant hire in the world Luscombe hire in Ulverston. Pushed the gates open and moved the truck.. Far from investigating anything else . The police are chasing me . Mind you I am not getting the best from the police at the moment am I . Rog

      @onanysundrymule3144 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are not having much luck at all Sir, my empathies to you. If the police are chasing you, you may need to adopt the following strategy; Drive down any residential street, at any Speed you like (ie at 50 or 60mph in a 30 zone, say), with or Without an exhaust pipe even (it just doesn't seem to matter), then the police will totally ignore you and let you carry on! This has been their strategy for about 5 years as far as I can work out, ie, to ignore speeders and noise polluters, that is. If you do see an actual police officer in person, hang on to him/her, it may be the last time you ever see one..... they are so rare as almost to be a fairy story from the past theses days. 'Believing' that you are seeing an actual police officer may however just be an illusion, or a delusion, or a dream/nightmare ..... they are so rare! I think David Attenborough did a program several years ago on the BBC about them becoming an endangered species of late. In fact, so rare are they I believe in some parts of the country - hereabouts included - that the children of today may only ever get to see one in a zoo amongst other barely extinct species like the Panda, a useful Labour party, and an MOT testing station that actually checks exhaust noise levels. I think they (the police, that is) will often be found as potentially effective breeding pairs around (ie protecting) rich persons gated communities in Richmond, City of London, MPs second homes and duck Houses, and the like: and perhaps it is hoped that if numbers ultimately regenerate, then they will "Re-wild" some young police males and females into these northern forested areas! I hope your troubles are soon resolved. Kind regards.

My plan is to develop it and keep all the origional stone work brickwork and marble . There are two collums that match those collums tht match outside the House of Lords that has burnt down. The council wanted to demolish it but I have saved the facade .I am afraid you are too late with the building opposite it has been demolished but you are right . The railway station is about six feet under the ground where thw railway lines still exist, The trains only came in on one platform. As for the rest you are 100% right. Roger Mckimm

Well done though for doing it at such a time. For context though, my R1200RS averages 60mpg some 15 more than bike mags tested it at but we all know how they ride. Suzuki VStroms are great bikes, much under rated. If I could only keep one of mine it would be my 17yr old Veestrom650. Hello kind Sir, I am glad to hear from you. We still use E-bikes around and about, but we haven't resumed E-bike hols yet from the pandemic thing era, which kind of broke the momentum of it all. We may get back to it yet though. Kind regards.

    After repointing, is there anything you can buy to treat the face of bricks so water runs off better?

    • @onanysundrymule3144
      @onanysundrymule3144 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. I believe there are products advertised for such, but....... (a) I doubt if they would last for long when you consider that a brick wall will last for hundreds of years anyway, and (b) I have become convinced that lime mortars are the proper way to go - at least on structures built before around 1930, and (c) full breathability of the structure is desirable. Kind regards.

      @@onanysundrymule3144 Thanks, I found a product called Storm Dry Masonry Protection Cream. It seems to be pretty good, lasts up to 25 years and bricks can still breath. It’s a highly rated product by the looks of it. I’m gonna render some parts of our property and re-point other parts, then I’ll decide if to use the Storm Dry treatment.

    Sensible idea. I've converted my child carrier with a Stanley Promobile tool box. When in camp, the ply base which the previous owner used to reinforce the base is now cut to fit on top pf the toolbox which serves as a raised counter and cooker stand.

    Cement damage is the problem. Should be repointed in Natural Lime Mortar i can tell by just looking at the wall it was built before 1930. Cement mortar sets harder than the bricks itself so the bricks take the weather damage in regards to the surrounding mortar, what can be replaced over time.

    • @onanysundrymule3144

    The building next to the old post office was an court. I am from Barrow. There was also a court in with the police station until the one on Abbey Road was built. There is another old police station on Barrow Island and I believe the cells are still there. Just across the bridge on Michealson Road. It is now a housing estate office.
