Sew with me | Elastic waist skirt with in-seam pockets
มุมมอง 287ปีที่แล้ว
Instagram made.by.min Follow along as I sew an electric waist skirt with a simple gathered tier and in-seam pockets! Made out of navy gingham linen from The Fabric Store. I don't use any particular measurements or pattern for the skirt part of this, but I first learnt how to sew this kind of basic skirt from the DIY Daisy Rectangle Ruffle Skirt tutorial. It's great for knowing pr...

มุมมอง 176ปีที่แล้ว
Instagram: made.by.min My first ever experience knitting socks. This is not a tutorial, as I am very much still learning the art of sock knitting. I loved the experience and can't wait to knit another pair. The perfect portable project to take anywhere with you. I also go through my current knitting projects I have on the needles, as well as upcoming knitting and sewing plans including a scrap busting project. Links to all patterns mentioned: Wiksten Shif...
Turn any top into a dress | Adding a simple gathered skirt
มุมมอง 15Kปีที่แล้ว
During Me Made May I realised I haven't been wearing one of the button up tops I've made all that much. I also don't have many dresses I can wear at the moment as I'm currently breastfeeding. Follow along with me as I add a simple gathered skirt to the Norma Blouse (www.fibremood.com/en/patterns/608-norma-blouse) to turn it into a dress I will get much more wear out of. A great way to get more ...

Sew a scrap-busting baby bib with me!
มุมมอง 409ปีที่แล้ว
I used a mid-weight linen from my fabric scraps bin to sew a new bib for my fourth month old son. I filmed the whole process from fabric selection, creating a pattern, cutting out, sewing, pressing, finishing and sewing on a button and button holes as the closure. Prepare yourselves for some cuteness overload as Wilbur makes some guest appearances, and bonus point for all the sneaky cameos from...
And si name?
Well done👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾
Thanks!
No Pockets! Crazy! But it look really cool for Summer. Did something similar a few years back and my daughter nicked it.😢
Yes I thought the fabric was too thin the be able to hold pockets well! Thanks for watching!
Bravo 👏👏👏
Real good, way to be!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
First time here, Hurray for your Me Made May!
Thanks for watching!
Please share more about the pattern and the making.
No pockets?
The fabric is pretty thin so I thought pockets would make it hang funny
Seriously?
I'm completely team no pockets in dresses
Glad I found another Ausie to follow. Well done👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾
There doesn’t seem to be heaps of us out there!
@@madebymin92 so true. I do watch Rosery Apparel, though she is in Japan ATM. She has a similar aesthetic to you as well. I look forward to your continued posts.
What a nifty idea. 😊
I love your dog - so chilled and looks like listening to everything you say 😂

What a great dress, beautiful. What a beautiful baby, so cute. Thanks for sharring.
We think he’s pretty cute too!
Great job! 👏👏👏😉👍
Thank you!
Very cute! If it were mine I would add some droppy pockets.
Thanks! I considered pockets too, put I think my fabric was a bit thin so they would have made it hang a bit funny
That dress looks good on you. Your dress looks cool, comfortable, perfect for the job you made it for, and perfect for just about everything you do. I like the fact that you did not cut off the bottom of your shirt until you were happy with the fit. That is a wonderful idea. I made myself button down the front, shirtwaist dresses when I was nursing my last child (almost 49 years ago). Those loose dresses were very comfortable during the hot summer (in Memphis, TN); and, it was easy to take the dresses in as I lost weight. Don't be surprised when other women ask you where you bought that dress. Most women today are sick of the uncomfortable, tight fitting, hot, fast fashions being sold in the stores today.
Thanks! I think it will be great in summer!
Thanks for the idea…I have a top I messed up and this will be perfect!
I’m so glad it will be given new life!
Thank you so much for the great idea and tutorial. I sure will use the idea. 😊🥰💯
I’m sure I’ll be using it again too!
Love it!
Thanks! I’m loving having a dress I can wear again!
I reckon that gingham would look fabulous as pants!!
I think that’s what I’m leaning towards at the moment!
So cool, Min! The bib suits him so well :) loved his little cameo at the end. Looking forward to the next video!
