Remember that Peter when first called by Jesus protested that he wasn't worth of following Jesus for he , Peter was a sinner. Again at the washing of his feet. Peter was fervent concerning his unworthiness. He was truly humble at heart

The Jerusalem Church was huge in number, thousands upon thousands. And, they had fled Jerusalem before its final fall unto other regions. They knew how to read the signs. Many did follow Jesus, and many more since Pentecost. He, Jesus, did enter and was received as the Messiah by thousands, not to mention the thousands that came with him waiving the palm branches. The church was a jewish sect.

Wonderful. Thank Heaven for Little Girls... Women , some, have that extra spiritual sense. They understood better; likewise that woman at Simon's house. She knew whom Jesus was, and Jesus praises her faith in HIm, and states how as a result, her sins were forgiven.

Essau and Jacob. Essau was hated from the womb. He was but a child when he foolishly gave his birthright to feed his need to eat, for he was extremely hungry. Did he ever really have a chance? God knew, the proof is seen in his decendents. However, Lot was blessed, but not so his descendents. There is free will, but in some instances it seems the dices are stacked to favor some. Of course, only God knows, which Is why Jesus's lineage is so wonderful, beyond the law and filled with graceful exceptions. Righteous exceptions

Believe in Jesus, is believing in God the Father. Don't believe in Jesus, and you deny the Father. The works of Jesus are the testimony. His work on us is also His testimony. Not our testimony, but God's testimony. Our testimony is our faith. Let us proclaim our faith. God has equipped us to do so, to His Glory

A beautiful picture that I believe to be so- A family, a humble mom and dad, tell a young child, " here son, got tell one of the disciples, see that man there? go tell him that you are bringing them these fish and bread" most likely to feed Jesus and his disciples, and the young boy did as he was told, also consciously knowing that it was all they had to eat for his family. A wonderful act of love. Can you imagine, this beautiful family, what awe to see that they in their hearts wanted to show their love and appreciation to Jesus, and then see God in the flesh multiply in their eyes those few loaves and fish to feed all those thousands! What a wonderful blessing for that family.

It is as St. Paul said in Romans- I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. It isn't about me, it is about Him. I think that many of us try a one on one sniper approach, we have a person in mind, as compared to having a shotgun approach. A shotgun approach, one is almost sure to hit something.

interesting, the Samaritans knew not whom God was, nor how to worship, but they were ready to hear the Word of God, The Messiah, at such a time as this. They were ready to hear. Wish, pray, that the world today is ready to hear as the Samaritans did.

Many were turned, but only 12 were apostles, and then Paul. But thousands did follow Jesus, but only a few could be apostles and the Jerusalem Church. When Jesus entered Jerusalem and was received as the Messiah, thousands welcomed him as such. The trial of Jesus by the Sanhedrin was an illegal court, done at night, and without the full assembly, nor was Jesus allowed to defend himself. It wasn't the Jewish people, it was a corrupt few in power, and may I add that the High Priest(s) were non levitical, but politically appointed.,

Interestingly enough, Ishmael was present with Issac for Abraham"s burial and God blessed him with twelve children and nations too. But not an heir, which the Muslims contest, saying that Ishmael is the son that was being sacrificed, not Issac.. We are heirs, adopted by grace through Jesus. Part of the household, not the hired hands which earn wages, not an inheritance.

For me, one has to see and feel the presence of The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of Christ Jesus. He is the Head, we are the body, when the Church is filled by the Spirit, our candles, lamps, shine very strongly, and the Truth shines. When a Pastor doesn't in his soul believe that Jesus is God incarnate, nor that the Word of God is exactly that, then that pastor's pastorship won't be in the Truth, and the attendees of that church won't be properly fed, nor nourished spiritually as much as a body of believers is when all in one Spirit.

On the 22nd Psalm, Jesus as cursed, calls on God as GOD, and not as Father, for he had become apart from GOD by our sins and he was cursed. HE earned the right to Redeem us by becoming man, and living a sinless life, and by His life and "soul" he purchased our redemption, as God He was raised again, and completed our redemption. What a price to pay. Not only the sins I remember or believe I have committed, but those of all mankind, past present and future.

God says He doesn't want sacrifice, He wants obedience. (Sacrifice is a result of sin) Jesus said, if you love Me, you will follow My commandments. His commandments where very clear, To love God with all your heart , might, and Soul, and to love your neighbor as yourself. In these all the law is filled. The fruits of The Spirit, are proof of obedience.

Amen William, my point exactly. And how do we love "God"? 1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. Shalom ❤️

hello friend, hope all is well. I hope you see the benefit of my challenging of your doctrine. its all about seed time and harvest and I want you to have the best judgement day possible per Daniel 12:3. I AM seeking to be a preacher of righteousness like our grandfather Enoch. so in a comment you told me that "repentance is necessary" but then you say that no works are required. there seems to be an inconsistency or disconnect in your thinking. I say that repentance is the work that we must do. repentance does not make atonement for our iniquity, only the work of Yeshua H'Mashiach can accomplish this. obedience is better than sacrifice because it requires no sacrifice so if we do the "work" of repentance then no more wage of sin is earned and no more sacrifice needed. so is repentance required to appropriate our faith or not????????? (repentance being the turning from doing and not doing fleshly desire and turning to doing and not doing what Yah said in His word) thanks ,Mathew

Matthew, I think we have reached the end of our discourse. At this point we seem to be talking past one another. Initially I thought you were interested in the Christian faith as testified by both the old and New testament. But this is apparently not your purpose, nor probably ever was.

On judgment Day, my sins past present and future will be assumed by Jesus Christ my Lord. My name will be written in the lamb's book of life, and I will suffer no judgment. My rewards in heaven will be based on what I have done, but not my salvation. It is obvious that you do not hold Galatians to be God's word. It is also obvious that you have not really been listening to any of my responses nor the teaching on TH-cam. It's okay. We both have very different views on this topic. Mine hews to traditional Christianity and yours, well, I'm not exactly sure. It feels like some type of hybridization of Judaism. Nonetheless, you have not successfully convinced me, and likewise I have not changed your outlook either. I would like to commend you on something. I am not well versed with any of the forms of social media. My brief exposure to it has been mostly unpleasant. The comments I typically get are mean spirited and would best be described as attacks. I use the TH-cam platform as a necessity for those who are not able to attend the class live. You however have been a breath of fresh air. Although we will never, most likely, change one another's mind on these issues, you have been extraordinarily civil and polite in your discourse. I want to thank you for that as we part ways. I do not know how successful you will be at evangelizing other people, but I certainly know that you will attract a lot more flies with honey rather than with vinegar.

@@lynnstedham4555 Hi Lynn , I actually felt led to reach out to you after your video came up in my feed, it's rare that a video with so few views would come up so I listened. I think its important to understand other peoples positions on things rather than to just be right or wrong. I’m very open minded and by no means think that I know it all or have arrived, and I’m learning more every day. I do feel an obligation to reprove/rebuke false teaching or at least ask questions if there is room for benefit of doubt. [2Ti 4:2 KJV] 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. [Tit 1:13 KJV] 13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Proverbs 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Actually I don’t believe Galatians to be “The Word of God” per se and I’m sure Paul didn’t either when he was writing it. Its a letter to an assembly similar to the writing you sent me by RC Sproul. I do believe its sound doctrine, if your able to reconcile it with the whole of established scripture. The way the "Berean's" made sure everything Paul said was valid Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. The 5 books of Moses are "the Word of God" as God Himself spoke face to face with him to speak to the people on His behalf. the writings of the prophets contain " the Word of God" as they are Gods mouthpiece. Everything Paul said comes from the tanakh, if you can't confirm and back what he's saying from the "old testament" then your probably misunderstanding him, he didn't have the authority to add or take away from " the Word of God" which is (Psalms 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven) Peter warned about Paul's letters, that they can be hard to understand 2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. I realize my comments are unsolicited and I don't want to bother you so if your in the first resurrection I'll be happy to take you up on that hug and we'll spend the Millennium preparing for the judgment day, you sound pretty confident about it but I'm still working out my salvation with fear and trembling ;) phil2:12 2 Corinthians 5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Romans 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Romans 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: (that word "deeds" is the same word translated"works" in Galatians 3:2 btw, either Paul is speaking out of both sides of his mouth or your misunderstanding him maybe) most of my evangelizing is done in person and not in the comment section lol, I'd be happy to chat on the phone or Do a zoom meeting if you are ever interested just let me know. I made a couple videos a while back, please check them out on my channel if you care to understand more about where I'm coming from. Yah bless -Matthew

    Hello Lynn, can you please prayerfuly consider these verses and tell me how to reconcile them in light of this teaching? I tried to place them in an order that flows nicely. Yah bless James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. [Tit 2:11-12 KJV] 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Heb 10:26-29 KJV] 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? [Jhn 5:14 KJV] 14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. [Lev 20:7 KJV] 7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I [am] the LORD your God. [1Pe 1:16 KJV] 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. [1Th 4:7 KJV] 7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. [Mat 7:21 KJV] 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [1Co 6:9a KJV] 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: [Rom 2:13 KJV] 13 (For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. [Jhn 15:2 KJV] 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. [1Jo 3:22 KJV] 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. [1Jo 2:3-4 KJV] 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. [Rom 8:13 KJV] 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. [Rom 6:16 KJV] 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. [Rev 22:12 KJV] 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. [Rom 2:5-6 KJV] 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: [2Co 5:10 KJV] 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad. [1Pe 1:17 KJV] 17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning [here] in fear: [Heb 5:9 KJV] 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Matthew first of all, thank you for your patience with me. I have not done a very good job answering your concerns. You clearly have very thoughtful questions and are extremely thorough in your scriptures. One of the limitations of teaching verse by verse through a particular book is that, if that book has a particular focus, then that is what that entire teaching tends to be on. In this case the book of Galatians concerns the subject of grace. We have gone through the book of James several times and it is more about actions or works. When I went through the book of James I had to be careful not to imply salvation was through works, although the whole time we were in the book, works was what the teaching was on. I tell the students in the class they have to study the Bible in context with the entirety of scripture. So Galatians and James taken together gives the correct message. People have been trying to draw these two works into conflict for thousands of years. I have never seen them in conflict before. I view them more as a hand fitting into a glove. I am going to try to attach an article by a renowned scholar RC Spruel, that we can begin to discuss. But as an overview: salvation comes by faith in Jesus Christ alone. James then goes to add to the knowledge of this by stating what constitutes real faith. In his famous quote he says faith without works is dead. Paul would not disagree with that statement. Paul was very emphatic, as were many of the authors of the New testament, about what a well-intentioned heart that follows Christ should be doing. As a matter of fact, most of the new testament is instructional in nature to show us how we are to live out our faith. Without that instruction, we would not know how to put feet to our faith. But I think the point Paul is trying to make in Galatians is don't get the cart before the horse. The conversion of the soul and the justification of a human spirit is a work done solely by Jesus Christ our Lord. The litmus test to see if someone is faking it or not is whether that faith results in actions which James so eloquently puts. What Paul's problem was with the Galatians is, they had forgotten the faith part and we're adding works as a requirement to the salvation process. His point was that works will come but that they are not the trigger point for our salvation. We can take no credit in what the Lord has done. To do so would be to demean the work of Christ on the cross. I know I have rambled for a bit here today. I hope the overview helps before you read the attached article. Again thank you for your awesome and well thought out question. Lynn

I was an atheist until 1998 at the age of 24 and have since been a diligent student of the scriptures and testing all things/ studying to show myself approved, as it were and especially interested in belief systems based on scripture from islam, judaism, and the many many mannnnnny sects/denomonations of "christianity". I do consider myself an evangelist and have found that the hardest people to reach are "christians" who've been mislead by their well meaning pastors that bring Jeremiah 23 and Ezekiel 13 to mind. I have learned the most un offensive approach is to just ask questions, but still seem to upset a lot of people. that being said I'll check out that link and get back later, please don't feel obligated to reply promptly and thanks again for your time -Matthew

@@lynnstedham4555 well that was short and sweet. That's a great perspective on the James verse but didn't speak to any of the others of coarse. Could you please share the "gospel" with me in the simplest terms possible, and to be clear what I mean by gospel is the message that Messiah and his desciples where spreading during His 3.5 year ministry. When you have time, thanks again and Yah bless.

Hi Lynn Did you know that the “Jews” only represent the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and some of Levi? It is misleading and scripturaly inaccurate to say the “old testament” is written to the Jews only when in fact it is written to the whole of Israel and anyone who desires to enter covenant, such as Ruth, Caleb , me, etc. and graft into “the olive tree” (rom11:17) Eph2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. According to the doctrine you are teaching wouldn’t I have to do the impossible task of researching my entire genealogy to find out if I was a Jew to know wether or not I was being spoken to or not. This also begs the question “ what percentage qualifies a true Jew?” If I’m 99% am I Jew? 1%? Or only 100%? It sounds like this doctrine re establishes the “middle wall of partition” torn down by the work of Messiah (eph2:14) does it not? Did you know that the “new covenant” is only made with Israel according to Jeremiah 31:31 and hebrews 8:10? Messiah is and always has been the Only Way to the Father (jn 14:6) He was sent not but for the lost sheep of the house of Israel (mat15:24) he has 2 folds and made them one (jn10:16), northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Yahudah Going to check out your “grace” teaching later today. Yah bless

He loved me first, before I was born, and while still in sin. Not because of who I am. Yet, I know He loves me, and I can't help but to be grateful and know Jesus bought me, my sins, my life and freedom for everlasting
