Hi Kim. Thanks for the run down of the Golf. We have ordered one, the 499 like you guys. Can't wait. Can I ask what tongue and ball height works best for these?

@@007sonyjeet it's super quiet!
I checked out my friends Ultimate, I was absolutely blown away. It seems to have good build quality, all the bells and whistles, comfortable, quiet in the cabin, nice touches, seems to have a smooth transmission and plenty of get up also fuel efficient. It also has a roomy boot. Would be a very nice daily driver. Only thing I didn’t check out was the sound system, 4wd capability and big question is the reliability of the engine other than that I’m sold on this car.
Thanks for showing us around

@@familytrippersozstyle6255 huh? i dont buy garbage car! i tried on my friend and he regret it !! he sell it straight away just two days used XD
If you always went on one person's review, you would never buy any brand of car out there. I have been in the motor trade for over 30 years, and trust me, every make has issues. If you do some research, there are many people who are very happy with their Rextons. But thank you for your well informed point of view.
@@familytrippersozstyle6255 cool but if you got extra money why this??? i pick KIA than this if you like korean cars :)
@@bbolnoypi750 SsangYong are also Korean. Yes Kia are a good choice, depending on what you want. We needed the towing capability, and Kia doesn't have the same towing limit that the Rexton has. Also the size of the Rexton suited us more than the Kia. But at the end of the day, they are backed with a 7 year, unlimited km warranty, you can't really go wrong.
Beautiful ! 🙂I hope next year to buy one
This pig looks much bigger then the one i looked at
Great video thank you! I took delivery of my Rexton Ultimate Sport last weekend and absolutely love it. The steering weights up a little weirdly in corners but apart from that it’s the best value 4x4 in its class by a long way. Happy motoring!
Thank you & congratulation!
You haven’t fitted them properly, there needs to be a curve in the rubber, not hanging straight down. Correct installation will fix this
I'm not going into this AGAIN - refer back to all previous comments 🙄
Great video. It was only yesterday that we started researching these and this morning seem pretty set on getting one. Your video helped alot
Oh that's great to hear, thank you!
I can see what your issue is here and the blame comes back to how you have fitted them. These flaps are not designed to hang vertical from the mounting pole. There is supposed to be an arc in the mud flap at rest. This means you can have the flaps longer without dragging them, it also angles the stones back down towards the ground. Finally you made no mention of the pace you were setting and to have stones accumulating in those battery cases I could only assume you were go8ng pretty quick. Maybe slow down to around 80 instead of trying to sit on hiway speeds. Where I doubt any system will be able to be 100% infallible at that sort of pace.
Refer to previous comments as I'm not going through this again & again for people who think they know everything but don't care to read all the facts. If you had bothered to scroll through other comments, you would have also read that we were going on averages between 40km & 60km MAX! If you know anything about that road & the changes on that road, you would understand this. I don't need to sit here justifying our speeds to you when I know full well what we were doing & Rock Tamers were aware.
@@familytrippersozstyle6255
Been researching on this new rexton model for a while now or for similar price used 2022 to 2024 Prado. I may order one haven’t seen major negative reviews and reviews from owners are the best
Great idea. Looks yummy we will try this one

Warning: I picked up my Ultimate MY24 two days ago. After 50kms, engine warning light came on and Apple CarPlay will not work if you have an iPhone 15 (works when I plug in my old iPhone 8). Called the dealer, told them the problems: nothing. Still waiting for a response. Called Ssangyong Australia: they said call the dealer.
According to users from FB group: 1. Do the latest software update. 2. Use original Apple cable.
@@MegaAnufrievThanks, cables are originals and iPhone software is up to date. I am sitting in a dealership (not the mob I bought it through, they still haven’t called back)as I type this while they do the diagnostics on the engine warning. Perhaps the vehicle’s software will be updated to fix the connectivity issue. In the meantime I am connected with my old iPhone 8 which is hotspotted to my 15 pro.
@hazzargooleypunch5805 At least they are looking at it. Are you having engine issue as well?
@@MegaAnufrievthe diagnostics showed up two faults relating to the oxygen sensors and one relating to the AV system. The vehicle is booked in for further checks on Monday morning. The original dealer still hasn’t called back.

Nice review! Looking forward to the next episode on Rexton series.
Lovely. We went on the Encounter July 23. Two floors down, the balcony actually has double depth, so some undercover near the door, like floor 12, and then some out of the shade for the sun loungers. Level 11 is a small balcony with no cover. We always book interconnecting rooms for the four of us, so two bathrooms, two TVs, space to move around each other. That was our first balcony cruise and we enjoyed our dessert, morning tea, pre-activity time out on the balcony. On a longer cruise we did spend time in the room, just lounging. Kids were 10 and 14.
is it safely balanced with its offset flue even if ash tray isnt attached? Im in US and I cannot get the ash tray here
Yes, we've never had a problem with balance. We also use an old tent pole placed in the support of the flue. This is just to help keep the flue straight, nothing to do with balance.
Is it a 24 build or a 23 build my24
It's a 23 build, MY24
How do you find night time headlight performance in dark areas ?, in terms of beam spread, overall brightness etc 😊
Absolutely Brilliant!! The best lighting I've ever experienced! Even better than previous cars with spotlights on!! In fact, make sure you use the roll down function to adjust your headlights so they're not blinding oncoming traffic or you get flashed heaps cause they're so bright!
@familytrippersozstyle6255 I know that feeling all too well, that's why i get my headlights professionally aligned every 2yr to put into account going over imperfections might knock'em out of adjustment. I've got HID in my current rig & love the projection length/beam spread. The Rexy with sport pack is a very close and likely contender when i buy my next car later this year.
Great reviews thank you 😊 🙏 I just got mine yesterday Totally loving it , i wish rexton have same features of everest that you can start your car on your mobile phkne and warm the car before you get in cant wait to learn more about rexton
Yeah but it's certainly not worth paying an extra 30K for those features is it! 😆 I'm still finding awesome features in it!! I love it!! Congrats on yours!
Thanks, I'll be putting together a vid soon on tips, hints & hacks I've learnt so far too! 👍

If you don't want stone damage then don't drive on dirt roads!
Hmmmm, or, get a stone stomper which we know actually works... thanks for your input !!
How do you find the height getting in without side steps?
I'm pretty short so I can manage but it will be so much easier if it has side steps. That is something we will definitely get once we can arrange it!
Olive oil is not used in curries both in India and Thailand. Tzatziki is Greek raita.
I'm not sure what this has to do with anything? Did I say anywhere that this was an authentic dish? This is just something that I loved to cook, tastes amazing & thought to share to others.
@@familytrippersozstyle6255 Thanks, love olive oil and coconut oil in curries.
@@xx-lk3bx same 😊
This is exactly like the active camper. Who did it first? How can one company pull the plan from another.
We have no idea about that, I'm just reviewing this for those interested 🤷♀️ I guess its pretty much like most products on the market nowadays.
Good review, you forgot to mention that you can set the tailgate to open automatically once you walk up to the car with the key fob in pocket and the door window feature. If you hold the lock or unlock button down long enough all the door windows will drop (great for hot days) or go back up if you forget to close them after turning off the ignition.
Oh I didn't know about the auto tailgate feature! That's awesome! How do you set it for that? Yes I discovered the window feature by accident 😄 That's also a great feature you're right!
It’s part of the settings through the dashboard, you can set it so that if you stand behind the car when it’s locked for a few seconds the tailgate will beep etc, and then open hands free.
@juliancooper8963 awesome, thanks I'm going to give that a try! 👌
Piękne auto❤.
Love the Warburton area. Feels like my backyard. Great apples from that place.
Yeah it's a gorgeous area that's for sure
Great review.
Thanks 😊
Par boil your taters first or use tinned taters if you cant par boil and always preheat your oven or the temp will stall for too long. I also use a 9v-15v step up voltage converter on my ovens power supply for faster preheat and heat recovery times.
Does using par boiled or tiny taters make them crispy though? That's what I'm really interested to know. Cooking them in the bag always cooked them, and that's always from raw & a cold oven, but I'm keen to know how to get them crispy. We've since used a step up after filming this 👍
I bought one last year towed a 19 ft caravan with it. Tows great the only thing I would do if you’re towing a lot is put air bags in the back. Great video it’s a shame that most car reviewers put it at the end of the list as a 4x4 and tow vehicle. I have been towing for 25 years this car is great.
Yes funny isn't it? Towing & 4x4 capable was one of the major things we needed to know about, even though it will be our back up tow vehicle to our van, it will still be towing a big trailer, maybe a horse float eventually etc. Thanks for the tip about the air bags, that is something we were going to look into down the track if we needed them 👍
One tip - If you wanna buy it, Try to look on older model (2018 - 2020) with low mileage. I have 12/2019, it is practically the same car, but without software issues of new vehicles, w/o fully digital speedometer and with a bit smaller touch screen. 7speed gear box (new has 8speed), and 181 hp (new has 201). I bought it for almost half the price of new one and it only has 20 K mileage. Still had 2years warranty. Also in my opinion the previous model looks little bit better from outside, with more cute front grill which is main difference to the new one, which has larger grill. Also interiour looks little bit better in that 2019 (premium) model with brown colour than that new black. They seem to downgrade "design" in my opinion with the new display, but otherwise previous model is probably 99,9% same car as the new one.
Yeah I guess everyone has their preferences as we looked at older models even up to last year's model & we much prefer the look inside & out of the MY24 & much prefer the bigger screen too.
@@familytrippersozstyle6255 Yeah I agree sorry for that, it is subjective and I agree that most people will prefer new model due to larger screen and digital tachometer and more brutal look. I was just low on money so I was forced to go for older model. Enjoy that amazing car!

@@familytrippersozstyle6255 I have a firepit i do most of my grilling on but wanted some additional cooking space for dutch oven and camp kettle. The alternative would have been a second firepit. I've ordered an S2, if im happy with it i might buy a second later in summer or maybe a big pig.
No electric kettles in the room?
No there wasn't
How's the screen? Seems, like the last version, every single car sold has a dodgy infotainment system yet again. I guess you've already realised the 'quirks' of Ssangyong "wait for a bit to plug your phone in".... Yep
Yes initially the screen worked perfectly but as many others (including other car manufacturers with the same screen I hear) are having issues. My only issue is there is no voice on the sat nav which I hate not hearing my instructions. But I know they'll replace it , I just need to book it in & if I have to really a bit then so be it 🤷♀️
Thanks so very much. Am on the Mutiny on the Bounty cruise leaving Brisbane on 13th July this year!
