I know the goal he scored against Vancouver was a total fluke, but if you look at where the place started it was in Montreal's own end and he was the one that broke out the pass, and then 3 1/2 seconds later he's entering his own keeps it in play brings it into the corner tries to make a pass and scores a goal. Goal was a fluke but the whole play was created by Him

Hutson sits among top 10 defensemen of the league. The fact that you need to minimize the points he gets shows so much dishonesty and lack of actual arguments... a real joke.

For Hutson, Looking only at his points highlights as a reference to what he brings, is missing a lot of what he does. As much as some of his actual points might not be impressive when looking at the highlights, most of the points he did NOT get are often more impressive, and sad for him, because if MTL had more finishers, he would be probably 10-15 points ahead. I’ve watched pretty much all games, and the amount of great plays he made that nobody finished, is depressing. Also, he had to wait a while to get good PP minutes. If he stays healthy for the rest of the season, its going to be a very interesting rookie race

The craziest thing about Hutson is the points he's NOT getting... dude should probably have like 40 points right now, but those great highlight individual plays have mostly been just stopped short... Also, that fact that you say you'd rather watch the other two over Hudson (the habs) kinda goes to show you haven't really been watching habs games... the guy is one of the most exciting players in the league right now

You’re wrong about Hutson’s assists, he’s driving plays, most of those secondary assists are due to him driving play and bringing the puck up the ice or making a great outlet pass. He is always generating something.

When Hudson is on the ice, he Quaterbacks this team. He is fast, shifty and a great stick handler and dekes the shit out of players trying to guard him. He is what has driven the Canadians run the last twelve games. I think he deserves the Calder. Just check out his playing minutes. Against Vancouver he played 25 minutes. I think you underestimate Hutson. He skating and stickwork make you sit on the edge of your seat. All three will be major superstars but this is Hutson’s year.

Interesting take, I don't think he's going to win the Calder either but his path to me is 60 points and leading rookie scoring. He will get a more credit for doing it as a defenceman and the ECB as you say will take it home.

Hell yes. I can't get enough vintage. Sweet hat and jersey. Sharks original logo has always been my favorite. Growing up, I got a black Sharks hat not long after they originated. And they weren't even my favorite team. I just adored that awesome logo. I've been buying a few old Starter hats of my team. The hats made today just don't cut it. I love the flair and creativity that Starter made their hats with.

I've watched him over the past couple of years. He's the guy I wanted the Flyers to draft. I expected him to have a 62-65 point rookie campaign, but he's on pace to get 80.

On the sharks goal that is no where near cherry picking. He doesnt leave the zone until his teammate touches the puck. Would you like him to stay back for no reason? or get open for a breakaway?

As a flyers fan I actually agree with most of what you've said. His 5 on 5 play was really bad for the first 15 games or so. I think he was a -9 through 15 games. But he has learned how to play 5 on 5 since then. He's now a +5 on the season so that means through 12 games he was a +14 which is insane for a rookie. I do disagree with the cherry picking thing though, torts is instructing him and other players to do that, he's said it multiple times in press conferences cause the flyers sometimes struggle offensively. But overall michkov doesn't drive the offensive play as much as I thought he would, he doesn't play fast with the puck on his stick through the neutral zone, but the kid produces and that's what matters.
