It wasn't shown here but a couple of years ago an airliner landing at Hamburg International Airport got caught in a massive cross wind that nearly blew it onto its back ! The port wing just missed hitting the runway by mere inches before the excellent pilot did an amazing recovery, setting the aircraft down in a perfect landing. Everybody who saw it happen thought the plane was doomed to crash - but thank God, and the pilot, that did not happen. I am always amazed how good these pilots really are.

My dad, a plane fanatic, always said that a successful landing was a crash averted. To those pilots who decided to do a go around I commend you and would hope any of you were the pilots on any plane I'm in landing in difficult weather.

I can not believe that Emirates A-380 landing, that tail got so far outside , I thought for sure there would be damage . . . . .that is an incredible landing ! Imagine being in the rear of that plane looking forward at the time of landing !

I think every airport should have a magnetic runway, with the plane being magnetic underneath, they should also be able to catch falling carriers with a net of 10 jets surrounding it, after which a wing connection pyramid of another ten jets will lift the plane from the net with magnets and fly it to safety, drone jets may even pull it off with the right ai support and piloting

On 1 trip to Las Vegas our pilot came on the intercom and said "Vegas is having a severe windstorm, everyone make sure items are stored securely, that we were going to make 1 attempt at landing, IF unsuccessful we would fly on to Salt Lake City. The wind was blowing so hard you could feel wind trying to flip the plane, yes we came in sideways AND we did make the landing, a terrifying landing but a safe landing. We all clapped!! 💜

The tail of the plane should be equipped with an engine. When there is crosswind on the airport runway, the plane will start the tail engine and land safely.
