Sorry but what was Janick doing during that 1st solo, don't get me wrong I like Jan some of his solos are awesome, afraid to shoot strangers, the aftermath, from here to eternity, are some of my favourite of his, and I love his heavier tone when its just him and dsve playing The evil that men do but some of the older solo don't suit his style.
I prefer that instead to try to imitate Adrian.

There’s a reason legends like Bruce Dickinson and Ian Gillan wanted him to join their bands. There’s a reason Iron Maiden asked Gers to stay when Smith wanted to come back. There’s a reason Adrian Smith gave Janick Gers some of his solos to play live and trusted Janick with them! There’s a reason he’s a huge contribution to Iron Maiden’s work. There’s a reason loyal fans (who aren’t bitter 50 year olds with nothing in their lives) absolutely love him! There’s a reason Janick Gers is seen as a guitar legend! Show him the respect he deserves! He’s just as good as Dave and Adrian, you know damn well that’s true! He worked his ass off to get to the top and here he is playing his ass off while the true fans love him! Open your eyes!

The Janick hate clouds people’s eyes of good he really is and how hard he’s actually worked! I have to say that I prefer his solo live compared to Dennis’. It may be more wild but that’s a genuine style. It’s not like he’s missing his notes, he’s on point, just changing it to how he wants to. It’s a live performance, if I wanted to hear it identical, I would just turn on the album. The show and performance itself is majority of the concert!
You have band with the best lead singer the best bass player tied in with the the best rhythm section ever created and you have IRON MAIDEN the greatest metal band with the greatest show on earth.
