Well, hipsters, go away. In this "destroy" part there are no real metal amps/sounds, from Marshall JCM 800, to Mesa and Soldano. Very bad choices, and weak sounds. I know that it can sound great, because it uses NAM prophiles, so blaim is on the man who did thos bad choices. And why is this thing not open like Tonex or Dimehead NAM player?

The only real difference I’m hearing with the GEN 3 is the sound of money coming out of my wallet. I’ll stay with my Artist MK2.

When demonstrating a guitar, I don't want to see it running through your giant pedal board. I want to hear it as unboxed.

The Gen3 sounds way to boomy, at least in this video compared to the MK2. As an owner of the MK2 head, I am also certain, that you can dial the MK2 exactly to match the tone of the Gen3. I get that Boss wants to sell a new product, but the MK2 is still great and I think they should have taken more time to develope the next Katana, as the Gen3 does not look like a good upgrade to me. Since you can get the MK2 for less money now, I don't even really see the point of getting a Gen3 over a MK2.

impressed with the sound and size of this thing although not sure how practical it is for live playing, also doesn't seem very gainy . the touch controls seem a little gimmicky, touch controls can be difficult sometimes i'd rather have amp knobs.

I just got an mx5 a few months ago I like it - I just play at home and wanted something cheaper and not as loud as a tube amp. I've only made 3 of my own rigs so far and I'm pretty happy with that lol 😅🤷🏻 ... I could delete almost all of the factory presents and that would be fine with me. I owned a jvm410h for years and a mesa boogie Dr roadster for a couple also... This thing is great if you don't want to hang on to an expensive tube amp. I play it thru a 15 watt power amp into a 2x12 sometimes also into some small studio monitors. It sounds good - and my ears aren't ringing for 2 days every time I play guitar for awhile. I could make like 10 rigs and have 10 different guitar amps to plug into that's more than I will probably even make on this thing I'll probably delete all the factory presets and just make like 6 or 7 of my own rigs -- and it was just a few hundred bucks 🤷🏻

Ben nailed it! I'm sick and tired of all the reviews of teles beginning always with a twangy clean chickenpicking country sound, like it's meant to do that. Ben shows nicely what this thing can really do!

I think Fender decides on a price then tries to make a guitar you will pay that amount for. So many other brands have been offering what Fender calls upgrades for longer and cheaper. I this is an attempt to answer the question “why have people stopped buying our guitars”. I can upgrade my 40th anniversary squire and be much happier.

I love Pete and a clean tele but thank you for including Ben in these. Not all of us play these instruments cleanly all the time and I like to hear the dirtier side

I think a great demo would be to try and emulate specific iconic tones I.e for Les Paul - Don Felder’s lead on Hotel California Telecaster - Stairway to Heaven Strat - Comfortably Numb, Sultans Of Swing, SRV Gibson SG - Thunderstruck

Now that with Tonex you can use modulations and delays...I don't understand the point of buying a nano cortex.. with Tonex: less latency, more effects, better captures and cheaper as well!
