if you are serious this stove needs modification = firebrick, 4" stainless pipe the right side up and burn from the top down.
The pipe they give you is galvanized and UPSIDE DOWN so it will leak plenty of creosote. It converts easily to 4" right side up stainless with a 3.5" x 4" stainless adapater (Amazon). Use 6 pieces of 1 1/4" thick firebrick on the bottom and back side of the stove or just the sides. Burn your fire wood from the top down not bottom up (see instructions on TH-cam). And it will obey you! I am in northern Maine and this knowledge is hard won. It will burn all night if you do this, otherwise not.
repair? why did i watch this? you did nothing to repair but keep trying to start it. Not trying to be mean
Worst how to I've ever seen. The guy doesn't explain anything he's doing or why he's doing it. 11/10/24
...yea I noticed that too. Not informative at all, big waste of time.
You have to burn that stove for a few days outside
Is the Stihl KM series really a Stihl unit? or is it another brand with Stihl Plastic on it?
@@FYahooo Stihl is typically it's own designs and copyrights. But when those copyrights expire other companies start using their designs. That's why a lot of knockoffs look like older Stihl, Echo, and Honda clones.
WORST VIDEO EVER!!
Thank you for taking the time to inform all of us. Much Appreciation.
Any time!
22 days?? You need to take the stove outside and run a super hot fire in it for a couple days
Okay thanks for the info. Why did you carress the chimney?
it is upside down
What size is it? The small or large
@@tiffanyarns6152 it's the small
How did you get it through the roof and sealed up?
Just cut a hole with a hole saw and bought a high heat flashing boot and high temperature silicone off Amazon. Also used a ceiling vent cover on the inside that is made for hot water heaters.
How do I take it out though

Are those rope recoiler riveted on the top of the mower? My B&S looks like it has rivets..Thanks
This video just saved me a repair bill and a week or two of lost wages due to not having my saw. Thank you!
Great, thank you!
Can you please tell me do the grinding discs turn in the same or opposite direction? Thank you
@@magnum357225 well it kind of floats around the same way that a floor buffer does, I've never really checked that but I would say they both turn the same direction or you wouldn't be able to let it hover
@@kentuckyoffgrid thank you, im building one so im wondering what is better for extracting the dust
@@magnum357225 a Shop-Vac with a HEPA filter is the way to go
❤❤❤👍👏
Sounds just like Billy Bob Thornton!!!
Totally ridiculous to have the dismembered the whole unit for a stupid spark plug wire
All these gas powered weed eaters are junk. Have had many brands over the years and they rarely last three years or more before they go bad. On my latest one, a BlackMax from WalMart, the spark plug wire has broken off inside the boot and is not making a connection, so therefore can not start it... Another one for the landfill.
I had the same blower for many years. It worked very!! The same thing happened to me it just stopped. It was a stuck safety switch, it's working again, Thanks!
Where do I drain the oil?
It is a pipe on the bottom of the motor either of the left or right side I think it was the left on mine. You twisted a little bit and pull out and there should be a little cap that folds down to drain it
There should be a hole on the frame that it drains through
Why does the oil fill pipe have a fuel lines running to it?
No oil filter?
I would have liked to see the carb going back on
Terrible quality looks a good video but you have to fix your Internet
would have loved to see this for the disassemble.
Thank you!!
Hope it worked out good for you.
Kinda handy not being able to see much thumbs-up
Enjoying the video. How do you adjust the valves?
Did you trim the grill or buy the MKM 1?
What’s the size of that small fuel line?
I usually drill them out to fit the same fuel line as the bigger one. I believe I usually used 3/16 line. If you can find it, I'm pretty sure that the small line is 1/8". I can't remember if it is Lowe's or home depot, but one of them sells a poulan fuel line kit that has the small line and the larger line and a filter I think.
@@kentuckyoffgrid ok, so it’s possible and can be put the same bigger fuel line does this affect the performance of the chainsaw
I have never had a power change at all.
Mine is doing the same thing and even if I can manage to start it as soon as it feels the pressure of the ground it shuts off
Thanks.
Were is your blog on medical marijuana. Cant find it
Will you please post the link to the one you ordered? Do the vent pipes come with the stove or do you have to order them separately
Your pipe is upside down
I've built maybe 5 fires in my 12'x16' workshop. 2 burns outside to burn the fumes off and it still smells like chemicals burning inside my shop
Its good to see its thick metal
There really not I've got one in a small cabin it does what it needs to there budget stoves good for hot tentsd
It's not as thick as you think I'm going to put fire brick in mine.
@@timhill5939 o ok
Mine is not starting at all
Did a chainsaw bite you?
And this video is fuked up bad. Darn why have it on TH-cam
Where part 2
There's 2 sizes... Is it the regular or large size?
Just the regular one
What size is that square ⬛️
24 inches.
How did you add the extra hole?
Just drilled it out with a drill
Lol... He wished it in there
it comes like that
How did you remove and reinstall
I had to heat the shafts and hammer them out with a big punch. I had replaced the spindles. Not sure if you would want to heat up the bearings or hammer on it if you're not replacing it all.
It's dosant make sance
You got some smoke coming out the stove in the video that should NEVER happen you have a draft issue
The pipe is too small, they don’t breathe well at all.
The pipe size isn't the issue for draw. It's the spark arrest... it dampers it by itself. I made cuts to make the holes connect one to another and made them into elongated bigger holes. Mine works Fantastic. I never replaced the gasket I let it be and account for it when dealing with the air.
20yrs and my switch just went out
Hopefully it fixed it
I hate to see people struggle with their wood stoves. Seems like you have a good handle on it and are modifying it as needed. I have been building tiny woodstoves for a few years now and have installed them in several RV's. I wintered all last winter in Wyoming last year with one of my stoves. You are welcome to watch a video on mine and you will see that I was not without issues as well. Now every install performs without a hitch. th-cam.com/video/IBLsijFAtgo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Q1BvXy3_8XmnxiA7 There are other videos on that channel about the struggle I had with it not drawing correctly.
I will definitely check them out. It works flawlessly now.
First thing I look at is air filter and see if it has a NGK plug It’s surprisingly the main reason or the fuel lines or purge ball Easy to fix and parts are cheap
