They are dredging the Mississippi River between Sunset Park and Davenport, IA with the I-280 bridge between Illinois and Iowa in the background. You can hear a train in Davenport and killdeer in the background. I was at Sunset Park in Rock Island, IL when I took the video.

I took this video of the heron while driving along the west road in Sunset Park, Rock Island, IL this morning. It was wading in the Mississippi River. not far from the road.

While driving by Chippiannock Cemetery on 31st Avenue just east of 12th Street in Rock Island, IL this morning, I saw a doe, so I pulled over to take some photos and this video. While I was taking the video, a fawn approached the doe. What a treat!

Two egrets were in the backwaters of the Mississippi River just south of Sunset Park this morning, and while I was watching them taking a few photos and a short video, one of them caught and ate a fish for breakfast. I made this video with some of my photos and the video.

When I look out my kitchen window, I can watch the goldfinches at my sunflower patch in the back yard. I keep my camera there and take a few photos or a short video when I see them. This video contains some of the photos and a short video that I took out my window.

The Mississippi River is near crest at 20.14 feet (major flood stage is 18 feet and record high here is 22.7 feet). I took this video at the end of 19th Avenue (Skafidas Pkwy) this morning looking out onto the Mississippi River across the flooded west road and parking area. The Mississippi now connects with Lake Potter, covering the north parking area as well as the west road through the park.
