We were in-between Hawaii and Japan with 2 typhoons one was 50 miles away and one was 150 miles away we were in the middle headed for Hawaii my Capt said these were too dangerous and we turned around and hid the Japanese islands

I'm a us Navy sailor and those seas can be dangerous they look to be about 20' foot I've been in 60-70 and was on the catwalk on the side of my ship scratching them with my fingers....

@@chrissySP0516 I'm not sure, I don't think we have that rule in Nova Scotia , where would you be located ? Sometimes the rules can be different In different places, but what your telling me It makes sense, it's a good law to have
@@DeadliestSeas hi I’m from the USA.. I vaguely remember hearing due to large vessels, injuring so many whales and sharks that they were supposed to shut off their engines if a whale was in a close proximity. Thank you for sharing.🤗
@@chrissySP0516 I have watched a documentary on that issue, I think the way it went a big ship would have to slow down and coast along, And they had to be a certain distance from land, but again I'm just going on memory , It has been a long time since I seen that documentary
