I have a question, I’m not sure if I need a service dog and I certainly don’t want to get one, if it isn’t NEEDED because I just don’t like the people who get them for “ fun “. So, I have social anxiety, it’s to the point where I will have panic attacks in public, and have so much anxiety that I will forget to breath causing dizzy spells and almost passing out. My dog Bear, ( I only take him to pet friendly places) alerts to the signs of a panic attack, leg shaking, hitting my fist against my thighs, he will do DPT when I’m overwhelmed and super anxious, he’s in training for crowd control ( I trained him myself) which he’s doing well at, he’s wonderful on the leash and can walk by a crazy dog with a loose leash, he always has been because that’s the way I train them from when they have there first leash on, not to pull! He keeps focus on me, though I think it should have some work. But he always alerts within 3 seconds. I just, I don’t want to get him certified if I don’t need it yk? Please share opinions! 🫶 ( he also knows basic commands like sit, stay, lay down )

I remember working at my old retail job and walking into one of the back aisles to see a girl sitting with her service dog. It threw me off completely because they were in a portion of the store that's right near the back and there weren't a lot of people on staff that day, and I instantly asked if she was alright. I can't imagine having any other reaction in that situation, and yet I still feel relieved when I hear other employees from different stores do the exact same thing (She was ok btw, basically said the exact same thing the girl in this video said)

This whole thing seems very fishy. I’ve had pots for nearly a decade, and a dog is not needed to know when your hr or bp is high/low. Your body absolutely tells you when you are about to pass out! It’s called pre syncope and has tons of warning signs before you lose consciousness. I’ve been severely disabled by pots and heart defects for years and this just is not necessary. A fitness watch could do this for her. I do believe her illness is real, but a service dog is really something… 😬 Don’t fall for attention seeking behavior online ya’ll!

My dad has a service dog and his name is coot and in town if ppl ask what his name is it’s pepper and they call him and he growls at them I don’t know why

When you have a service dog never give out the dogs correct name that way when people do say the name the dog won't respond or react 😂

I absolutely love her reaction. Not to distract that doggo did a wonderful job, but also I wish more people were like that employee. Like you said checked in from a respectful distance so as not to distract the service doggo offered a chair or any assistance you might need, let you know they have a protocol if you need urgent medical service, and reassured you that what you were doing was perfectly acceptable as it’s what would help you and your health most in that moment. Everything about that was so beautiful.

My sister used to take her lab/shepard mix into Home Depot because they let animals in. He wasn’t a trained service dog, but she kept him on a leash and he stayed glued to her side. She would have never taken him to the store if he behaved like that other dog in the video.

In my local mall they had a dog statue that looked so real and people could drop money in its head to raise money for training service dogs…. My mom wouldn’t let us touch or play with it because service dogs are working 😅. Was a good way to not have to give us any change for the doggy lol.
