My salary is close to the number you quoted. I have never defaulted on any payment. I have been an hdfc customer for more than 12 years. Have been using Credit card(with 9.6L limit), salary account, have taken loans also from hdfc, have been using hdfc mutual fund also. Even after being a long standing loyal customer my application was declined. And the customer care was really arrogant and didnt even guide me on how I can get the Infinia.Nor did they say ask me if I'd be interested in the next best card. I didnt feel good. I may move out of hdfc for this behavior

Now a days bank loans, nbfc and credit cards doesn't follow any rbi guidelines. even customers doesn't read about RBI NPA norms. If u miss loans for 3 months or 90 days without payments then u will become an npa. U can request the company for time. If they dont provide the time ask them in writing for not providing time. Then approach local civil court for injunction order and file a case against harassment. Mean while send legal notice to the company. Then companies or loans wala vll send legal notice after your loan becomes npa. Court will send both parties for lok Adalat and settlement. No one goes to jail in loans matter.

Going through RM is the most useless method. The RM or WM will most certainly ask you to do further investments or probably take up some ULIP to consider you for Infinia. Best solution is: - Mail to Grievances and Escalations team - Tell them about your salary, your existing relationship with HDFC (assets and tenure duration) - Points to note before sending the mail : 1. You must already hold an HDFC core card (this can be millenia, regalia, DCP or DCB) 2. Limit on existing Card should be more than 8L 3. Spends in the last 6 months should be more than 6-7L - You'll qualify for an Infinia only if you fulfil Salary + 3 criteria mentioned above. - Ask the bank to evaluate your credit performance and consider for an upgrade to Infinia - Only ask for max. FYF Infinia (because if you ask for an LTF chances for rejection will be high) This will be good enough to get yourself an upgrade. Honestly, I haven't seen a more useless video for Infinia ever. Stop fooling people to chase after their RM.
