This morning I got something wrong that I need to correct. When I woke up from my nap (more like was awaken from my nap) the very first thing that hit me was “Mt. Sinai isn’t in Galilee.” This is something I knew, but this morning I treated Mt Sinai as if it were the Mount of Transfiguration. The mountain where Jesus was transfigured is a symbolic Mt. Sinai, but not the physical Mt. Sinai. The point I need to clarify is that when Jesus says, “Say to THIS mountain,” he is speaking about the mountain he was transfigured on, but not the physical Sinai/Horeb. This correction doesn’t impact any of the interpretations or applications from this morning but is significant enough that I felt it needed to be shared.
