Why is it called "Regression"?
Why do we call a regression model "regression" model? Let's look at the case of predicting sons' heights from fathers' heights that prompted Francis Gaulton to come up with the term.

Statistische Inferenz durch Simulation
Bayesian Statistics in a Nutshell
What is Bayesian statistics? This video -gives an example for Baye's Rule -discusses the frequentist vs. Bayesian philosophy (data vs. parameter assumed as fixed) -mentions the need for a Prior
Playing around with logistic regression in R
In this video I play around with with logistic regression in R, aiming to convey an intuition and ability to visualize what the method is about. The content extends to othr generalized linear models (GLMs) and the use of link functions in regression.
Interaction terms in multiple linear regression
In this video I briefly talk about what interaction terms are in multiple linear regression and how to interpret them.
Bayesian Approach to a Hierarchical Model
This lecture discusses a a hierarchical statistical model: The response of two groups of patients with different alleles to the same drug. The effectiveness of the drug is therefore based on a common distribution as it is the same drug, but modulated by group specific effects. Bayesian statistics is powerful in encoding such hierarchical models, but the data are difficult to visualize: With the...

Explanation how to display images so their intensities are directly comparable across images (in ImageJ).
Network Inference from Temporal -omics Data
In this lecture we discuss inference of cellular signaling networks from temporal -omics data informed by underlying (protein-protein-interaction) networks,
Great explanation, thanks!
Brilliant explanation! Thank you very much. Is there any gmail you can share so we can keep in academic contact with you? Probably you can enlighten us with future challenges. Blessings!
