Had same issue, fixed with cam chain tensioner adjustment. I loosen two small bolts that holds tensioner on its place (not main one) just about 2-3mm. Then slowly move tensioner out until I hear one "click", then screw two bolts back. That's it. It is easier than do it via main screw as there is not much space and the result is the same.

Black & chrome, V stream screen... just like mine! Beautiful to see, beautiful to ride, effortless power, comfort.... need to plan your turns ahead but it feels like you’re soaring through the bends like an eagle. People are surprised, they don’t expect a cruiser to do what this bike can do.

My TRX was a bit noisy like the video. I took the 12mm cap off the cam chain adjuster removed the two springs, then removed the adjuster assembly. Once on the bench I measured the distance between the plunger and the face of the body and manually adjusted one click extra extension which was 1 mm. Reassembled and tested. Noise has now gone.

my XTZ 750 does this noise! Crankshaft bearing?

found out what the noise was. it was a crankshaft main bearing, my tdm engine seized .

this noise is made by low tension on tensioner. remove main screw and springs from tensioner and push tensioner manualy using for example short screwdriver. one or two click should be ok.second step put in springs and install main screw on tensioner.thats all guys. After this operation ...we have silence:)

Did anyone find out what is causing this noise. my tdm 850 makes the same noise.

You going to fast I want to see the country side... I wanted a m109... But opted for a m95 I'm happy with it. But if ever decide to get another cruiser it's gonna be a Harley... Notttttt. No way I'm going to be on a bike in Dallas that's not liquid cooled... Peace

I have yet for my '92 TDM to overheat, even after 200 mile rides the temperature gauge never seems to go above half way for me

It never overheat's... think its the cam chain tensioner
