I first spotted the crab on my last visit to Disneyland going into the factory, which seemed weird. I then saw he again my next time though in the desert scene, which clued me in that there is something going on. So thanks for the compilation.

I think Disney could’ve kept a lot more of these stores if they’d just left them be. Going to the Disney Store used to be an experience that left you wanting to take part of it home. They really sterilized them. I grieve everything like this that my kids won’t experience - the animatronics at Chuck E. Cheese that were replaced with a “dance floor,” the colorless McDonald’s with no play area, etc. For so many kids who grew up low-income, that’s as close as they got to Disneyland or any of the other, more expensive thrills of a 80s, 90s, or early 2000s childhood.

Back when Disney was still Disney. I wonder what happened to all those statues these stores use to have.

Thank you so much for this video. It took me back to my childhood of an outing my parents and I had at Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania. They have one of the brass ring carousels and it still runs and it still hands out brass rings. Thank you again God! 🙏

I almost cried watching this. It's exactly what I remember looking up at whenever I was shopping in there for my sleeping beauty outfits I always wanted as a child in there. Miss those times as a little kid going into that store with that magical feeling with all the Disney characters and princesses.

I used to live in Brandon and my dad used to work at the Apple Store in this mall. This store was where I would go when my dad was working and we were waiting to pick him up. This store was my childhood. Thank you for posting this. ❤

I appreciate the tip on the crowds. We are in our 30s and 40s and we’re looking for to go this Saturday as it’s a great price, but if Saturday is packed and it’s mostly rowdy teens I know our party really doesn’t enjoy dealing with rowdy Kids in a crowd. However it does like a pretty solid fun event and a pretty good value for rides and a few fun haunts.

TWO of the stores near me kept this design throughout the 2000s, with one not renovating until 2016 and the other keeping the design until it closed in 2021.

90s was just a special time when it came to…how do I put this? … soul. Retail, restaurants, malls, everything was given these fun and unique themes to make life feel like one big adventure. They all had soul. I hate that these days, Bland is the new it theme for literally everything.

Man... If I was not 38, I would love to do the DCP again when I finish grad school.
