In The Shop | The Grain Cleaner | Ep 8
มุมมอง 2114 ปีที่แล้ว
In this episode of In The Shop, I demonstrate how a grain cleaner is used to clean corn. This is an antique grain cleaner, also known as a fanning mill. The purpose of this machine is to remove undesirable debris that is mixed in with the grain during the shelling or threshing process. Separating the grain/corn from this debris produces a cleaner product when ground or if used as seed. Facebook...

    Think I’ll have any issue with 10x20 ez ups? Hoping it won’t be too long. I had them already just didn’t want to have to buy smaller ones.

      I remember seeing a few that size there. Typically, the size of each camping spot is about 10x10. But you could cover your neighbor with part of your pop up. Or you may be able to extend it over your car. So if you are camping behind your vehicle, then you could cover your tent and the back of your vehicle making a nice space.

    This is a great video. Just a small insight for people coming in groups. I volunteered my first year in 15 and worked at the toll booth. Sometimes after you have made it through the check and are scanned in they let people wait to the side of the line until the rest of their group is done. But also marking your cars, let's say with a blue balloon on the mirror ,you can let the staff know "hey we are a group and want to drive in together". Group camping is for pretty large groups. But if you are let's say only 2-4 cars worth this would be helpful. Also in more recent years they have been parking us for camping in a long line. So same idea except your camping area is next to your doors and not the hood or trunk. Anymore hope that makes sense for you. But it is still the same amount of room it's a 20×10 area.

    • @julianarbaugh
      @julianarbaugh 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really great points Samara! It has been a couple years since I made the video, so changes to the process are not unusual. I like your idea of marking cars as being together. I do remember people speaking with the staff about keeping their group together. The staff did make an effort to help, but weren't always able to keep cars together. Thanks for posting about the change in how cars are parked for camping. This is helpful for people attending in the future.

    You said ‘mad dash for space’ talking about when you get there...do THEY tell you exactly where to park and set up or do you have a choice? Thank you!

    • @julianarbaugh
      @julianarbaugh 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steve Grossman Yes, they do tell you where to park. After you depart the toll booth, you’ll form a single file line of cars into the camping area. You will be directed to a specific space. It resembles a parking lot. You’ll either camp in front of your vehicle or behind it. Once you get parked is where the mad dash part comes in. People will jump out of their cars and immediately claim land. To claim the most space you need to move quickly. People are not rude nor are they hard to get along with. If you need something just ask. Where you camp on the site depends on which entrance you come through. You don’t have a great deal of control where you camp unless you buy premium tickets. Getting there as early as possible can help.

    Hey i may sound like im joking but im serious. If you come by yourself the bathroom issue is solved. You get a 5 gallon bucket and one of those snap on toilet seats and do your business inside your tent. It has a sealed top to keep in the smell. Put a table cloth over it and it can double as a night stand. Also, get up really early before anyone is around and dump it out about 4 tents down between the car and the tent. That way you can fix a bowl of cereal, sit out on your porch and laugh while you listen to them yell in disgust.

      Julian Arbaugh heading to my first Roo this year, I appreciate your insight and info. I live in Nashville area, I was wondering if I should find a back way to one of the other various gates, but it sounds like they balance them out

    • @julianarbaugh
      @julianarbaugh 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late reply, but I hope you are having a great time at Bonnaroo this year! When you're going in, you don't get much choice about the gate you go through. The police and Bonnaroo staff have this controlled, which is a very good thing. They try to keep traffic moving as well as they can. Coming out is a different story. I noticed a number of people leaving on Sunday during the day and I think you can choose your exit. I left at 5am on Monday morning and chose my exit. There was no traffic at this hour. I'd say a person could just choose the nearest exit when leaving. Traffic will depend on when you leave. If you leave later in the day on Monday, traffic will likely be greater, but I'm sure the staff have this sorted.
