Rust is a big pain here in the rust belt with an 18 year old car, been fighting a rotor all afternoon and was running out of ideas, thanks for a couple of good ones I’ll try in the morning. I aero-kroled it and maybe sitting over nite it will loosen up!

Good afternoon sir hope your day is going well! I love this test light video and the other one as well regarding the computer safe logic probe both are awesome videos! I would love to see more videos of both test lights cause you explain very well in detail step by step in such a calm and peaceful manner which helps alot of people that learn at different paces and not quickly all the time. Are you able to do a video of how to backprobe an ignition coil pack connector or any other connectors correctly and zoom it in close to see how it's supposed to be done right using a t-pin, paper clip or etc?

Many people don't know this. The brake caliper can be used to push off the rotor.

Just put a coating of never seize or silicon brake grease on the hub face and inside of the rotor face and it won't rust together again.

That looks pretty good previous videos i watched suggested that we use a palm sander to remove the rust which not only removed the rust but wore down the etchings, A further suggestion was to paint the etchings black and re sand which was useless and did more damage than good

DO Not breathe the gas. Hydrogen gas could build up in your lungs and suffocate you. Or attach to oxygen molecules and combust. This is very dangerous inside the house. CLR Calcium Lime and rust remover. Vinegar Or lemon and or Lime juice, you need a mild acid. I've got 3- 4 of them I've let rust over the years I might do this will all of them at one time.

I have this logic probe. It works, meh. Things i don't like. Cord is a coiled cord like a phone, and it is too short. The coil acts like a spring and the clamps pop off the battery terminals if you put tension on the wire. A 10 foot straight wire would be much better. Second, the bulbs are dim and hard to see. Thing I like, it's cheap. I still have this, use it sometimes, but usually just to check power/ground yes/no. Since this is computer safe, I also will check yes/no power to a sensor. I have a powerprobe, but if you energize the tip while probing a sensor, you WILL destroy the computer. The main drawback to this probe is that while it will tell you yes/no on power/ground it doesn't tell you actual voltage. The power probe has a built in volt meter, so you know if the circuit is actually alive. A 5V reference signal at 2 volts means the whole circuit is down and the car won't start, but the lojic probe will still light green while the power probe will show you actual voltage. Like I said, meh. It works, but understand its limitations. There is a reason this is $10 and a power probe III $100. I usually pop the circuit breaker on the power probe before I test a sensor circuit anyway, because one slip up and you're buying a new computer. Powerprobe still works as a logic probe and meter even with a popped circuit breaker.

Nice video! i purchased the same cleaner yesterday to clean the carbs off my atv and dirt bike ; however, I noticed that it said on the back of the little solution bottle you used, "Not to use on aluminum", so I didn't buy it. I'm in the process of trying to find a simple safe degreaser for aluminum alloys, but so far no luck.

How can you use it if you were checking wires at the back of a vehicle, like a truck, a long bed 4-door? Would it still work if you carried a different battery with you that was not connected to the vehicl at all?

Hi Mark, great video review. I was surfing to learn what the difference is between a "Computer safe", tester and a conventional tester. I was testing some wires coming out of my truck door to find a hot wire going to the courtesy light. Using an insulation piercing tool, I tested all 6 wires and discovered my circuit was not in that group. My concern is that in the process, I noticed a "Service 4WD" appear on the driver info display. It was only momentary and no problem noticed. What I did notice is the next day I had a CEL which said there was an O2 sensor problem (open or high resistance in heater circuit), and I also noticed my a/c vent control actuator didn't work. I can either believe it's purely coincidental, or my circuit tester / wire piercing tool is to blame. I just wanted to know what the actual harm in using an "old fashion" tester is, if any. Thanks!
