Snap to Grid example - Origin Align - Blender Addon
You have your object and you've snapped all its sides nicely to the grid, but your origin is fixated in the middle which now causes any new duplicates to snap away from the grid. This destroys precision and forces you to change the origin to one of the corners, but doing that manually is frustrating. What if you could achieve that in a single click? Well you can!

You can set the origin at the bottom, top, any side of your mesh, allowing you to snap it to the floor, ceiling or wall of any other mesh with maximum precision. The Grid option snaps the object’s origin the closest point on the grid.
You can also center the object’s origin before aligning it. That way it will align to the ‘middle’ of the base instead of just snapping to the base. In Edit mode you can align the origin to a face.

      Just putting the answer here from the email. It won't work due to the extra additional components of your Shader Nodes. Customizing the addon's code could bring about that opportunity, but not in its current state.

    Is there a way to have a bit more traditional export? To use the Material Output "Surface" input? I honestly have trouble using this addon because when I bake it gives me a million errors for no reason.

    You have no idea how much you saved me, I've started a working on a game project and found out very late that procedural materials don't export well to game engines with vanilla blender and started the tedious process of baking each object I made. Your add on came in clutch and I can't thank you enough.

    A little explanation for why it's called a Fake User (I am just guessing but I'm 90% sure I'm right) Basically, when a material is applied to a face, that face is the user of the material. When a material is not used on a face, it is loose data which can be removed with Purging. So when you click Fake User on a material, you are basically telling blender that this material IS being used and it is not loose. Therefore it will not be purged. Hope this helps! Also, are you a voice actor, because if not you should really consider getting into that field, you have a really good voice!

    will this be super precise? I'm always having origins move on my meshes and i cant get blenders stock settings too align perfect in the middle of objects for example right down the center of a uv sphere.

      Are you sure you're not using 'Affect Only Origins' mode? Aligning the origin to the center of mass is already a default feature in Blender. More info at the Blender docs for 'Object Origin'.

      Strip Merger has several advantages over the default 'Bake Action'. It's really just a more developed version of it, taking the concept and adding some quality of life improvements. Strip Merger only bakes the NLA Strips that are selected, automatically finds the range of frames required and attempts the put the newly 'baked' strip in a logical spot to replace the strips that have been baked. By default, you can't easily choose which Strips to bake and which not to. You have to specify the Start and End frame manually every time and the new 'baked' strip is just lumped in a new action strip. NLA Merger also bakes non-locomotion information, allowing for many other animated object properties to be stashed, while 'Bake Action' only preserves location, rotation and scale.

    Is there any interest if you don't expect to use your asset on another 3D plateform (UE for exmple)? If this character is done only for a short film animation under blender what is the interest of this addon? Sorry I always feel like all your addons are for intermediate to senior blender users... I have 2 years on blender and it is difficult for me to understand most of your plugins...

      The main use of Easy Bake when only working in Blender is to make things easier to manage and to be less performance-heavy. Procedural materials, especially more complex ones, can cause lag and increase render times. Baking these to an image is much 'cheaper'. Another use is to convert procedural materials into images. Procedural materials, especially more complex ones, are much more "expensive" than simple images and can slow down render times and even lag your preview. Therefore, you bring forth an interesting question that can even further be explored with a video showcasing those things.

      Right click on the Auto Keying button and select Assign Shortcut, then just press the key you'd want as a hotkey :)

    You make amazing addons!!!!!! But the marketing side is a bit odd and hard to budget as a buyer, for example the bodygroup in the market has too many options ,and Personally It would be way better to have 3 direct tiers Basic, Extended, Pro Version For example I see no reason to get the 3 Bodygroups per object tier, like ever, it feels like the trial version, Plus if you find one day you need SLIGHTLY more bodygroups, to budget this is crazy because now you have to upgrade to 10 or 100 to be safe, so you're paying double or triple compared to buying directly the most expensive option (because the price differentials don't get deducted as far as I know) Trial is EXTREMELLY limited but I see the point Basic should be at least 10 Extended with 100 Pro with it's Max version features Because of it's very high pricing I see why the 3 Bodygroups option was added, but for it's marketing side, sometimes Less is More Not often you hear people complain about "TOO MUCH PLEASE LESS!" ahaha, but in this case yep!

The last variant 'PRO' tho is pretty much a separate addon added on top for extra power, which means that it's not mandatory to utilize the usual potential of Body Groups, despite its nice animation functions to them and the increased productivity that follows. If you get one of the cheaper versions then there's always the room to upgrade to it if you deem it needed.

    Very neat, Inlet. I'm going to buy this one as it seems more flexible than other solutions. I see you manually enter the current frame on many places. Perhaps a button to add current frame would be a nice addition?
