We had a technical assessment of our property for one of their heat pumps, which found that our property was unsuited, but still waiting for a return of our initial £99! Total silence from Aira!!!!

In the Uk the best thing about a heat pump is NOT having one! We have a swimming pool and our heat pump is perfect to heat it. Turn it on in May Turn it off in September, perfect! This skilled builder fitter is 100% currect in everything he is saying! Or take your heat pump and move to Florida, then your ok!

remember that the energy source of the heat pump is what is important... if your heat pump is powered by coal... then there's is no point getting a heat pump, so check with your energy provider, whether it's actually powered by renewables!

Sono anch'io di Varese. Ho chiesto un sopralluogo di Aira e in brevissimo tempo ne ho avuti due, il primo con i "venditori" Andrea e Jacopo (davvero chiari ed esaurienti), il secondo con i tecnici, ma non ho deciso di acquistare il loro prodotto. Il personale è DAVVERO competente, qualificato, gentile e PAZIENTE, il prodotto mi sembra davvero OTTIMO! Sono andato anche a Lainate a visitare lo show-room dove mi hanno mostrato le varie soluzioni tecniche e spiegato nei dettagli il funzionamento. Se la mia casa fosse stata un po' più "facile" e meno vecchia, non avrei avuto dubbi nell'acquistare una pompa di calore Aira, ma alla fine (e a malincuore) ho dovuto fare una scelta differente. Voglio però sfatare il mito che per una pompa di calore ci voglia il fotovoltaico: NON E' VERO! Il fotovoltaico produce principalmente d'estate, quando allla pompa di calore non serve. A Varese i miei genitori SENZA FOTOVOLTAICO sono passati da 1700 euro annui circa di riscaldamento a gas, a 208 euro annui di riscaldamento a pompa di calore. Se poi uno ha anche il fotovoltaico, meglio per lui.

Ich habe, seit Mitte August von Aira eine WP. Es war eine der schlechtesten Entscheidendungen. Die WP funktioniert nicht. Keiner bei Aira interessiert sich dafür. Also, eine schlechtes Team, mit einem sehr fragwürdigen Produkt. Ich kann das nicht empfehlen!

AVOID! After being informed Aira were installing air source heat pumps in the area I agreed for one of their salespersons to visit my house. They were friendly and informative so I agreed to get an air source heat pump installed by Aira. After this it all went wrong quickly! They cancelled the first engineer visit at late notice costing me a day's work The next time the engineer came out they were due to come at 10 but didn't arrive until 4. On arrival the engineer was visibly and audibly agitated muttering that it wasn't possible. After calming them down they took limited time to inform me I shouldn't have been sold the system as it wasn't possible to install. What? Really? Aira sold me on the air source heat pump and then 3 visits later backed out saying it wasn't possible. What a waste of time and energy. I would avoid Aira as their process, staff and systems just aren't up to it

should be the heat loss and SYSTEM is designed then a heat pump is specified to the job in order to get best performance. buffering every job is lazy and cost more to install and run

Heat pumps in U K are money pits, 95 percent of homes are not built well enough to for these things to work, gas is chesper and more effective for heating, the U K electrical infrastructure is not capable, even n without talking about electric cars etc. The noise from these gadgets is incredible, your neighbours and you will wish you had never heard of this failure, top up tank chews your electricity up, because your heat pump cannot supply efficient or enough hot water. See how long before they take this post down, cheaper, safer, more reliable, less intrusive is gas.

You really shouldn't be saying a particular heatpump is designed for a size of property. The heatpump power required depends on the property heatloss, regardless of number of rooms.

One big thing to consider is how much Sweden pays for its electricity compared to us.

Still can’t get my head around why having a heat pump to heat the water to then heat the radiators and in many cases the radiators have to be changed for bigger ones to accommodate the flow in how the heat pump works , surely is far easier to get a heat pump for ATA systems where less expensive installation with no need to change radiators sizes actually no need for radiators at all with the advantages of getting instant heat .

Will it work in an old stone cottage with no wall insulation, where even running electric storage heaters is not really comfortable in frosty conditions? Insulating the walls is not an option as it will cause damp problems. The house needs to breath to stop mold and damp, so we need to have trickle vents open all year round.

do you install in Italy?

Nice. The only massive problem you will face is the terrible state of the electrical infrastructure. The vast majority of the housing stock and light commercial is single phase. Single phase associated with a leaky, poorly maintained envelope is a difficult combination to beat. I've installed quite a number of heat pumps here in UK and electrical infrastructure is by far the greatest obstacle.
