Black Eagle Martial Arts is the martial arts school founded by Grandmaster Young-Gul Son and led by Head Master Brandon Son. Located in West Des Moines, Iowa, we serve the surrounding communities and maintain close partnerships with other martial arts schools across the Midwest, as well as nationally and internationally in Korea, Central and South America, and Europe.
At Black Eagle Martial Arts, we practice Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Kuhapdo, offering instruction, training, and opportunities for competition and demonstrations for men, women, and children of varying experience levels and abilities.

What is the Korean name for a Jab and a Hook?
We can call the jab ‘apson jireugi, 앞손 지르기,’ and the hook ‘dollyeo jireugi, 돌려 지르기.’ Hope this helps! 😉

But the axe kick uses power when coming down
@@mr._riuzzz 30 years ago I remember I used to do the axe kick with my heel instead of the sole , it's more effective

It varies by dojang, but we typically say ‘Annyong-hasipnika’ to greet each other and ‘Kamsa-hapnida’ to express gratitude. 🥰

Ollyo Chagi is a rising kick with a straight knee, while Ap Chagi is a front snap kick. I hope this helps!
