I am thinking about moving to Puerto Escondido or Huahca; I know I spelled it wrong but it is south of Puerto Escondido. What is the living like and the internet? I am from LA and want to start a business and retire here or the other city I mentioned. In Puerto Escondido what are the rents like with a ocean view or ocean front and the cost of living regarding Rent, Utilities, Cell, Wifi & Cable as well as clubs. I look forward hearing from you.

One of the bad things about Puerto Escondido is the pollution in the sea, the water of the beach is so polluted with 💩 that it's not safe to get in the water. If you can't do that what's the point of being there. It's sad that all local sewage goes directly to the beach and every body doesn't care. Local authorities don't do enough. They have just 1 WWTP and it's broken, it doesn't work. All hotels, commercial facilities and houses near to the beach just pour the sewage into the ground poluting underground water. What a shame this beautiful place it's so polluted.

This place is an absolute gem! Still a bit of a sleeper, and I like it that way. I spend every January here, gearing up for a 2-3 month stint this time around!

Very expensive and the new government is very scary now. Be careful things have changed.
