I’m from The Colony we used to have to drive 2 hours to play WF schools that were in our conference for whatever reason. Now I’m thinking about buying and moving to WF bc it gives me vibes of what TC used to be and is definitely not anymore, a small town with just enough stuff.

I was at a Rangers game on 9/22/01. During the game, a commercial flight flew directly over the stadium. The crowd began to cheer. You see, it was right after 9/11. They had flights grounded all over the nation just days before. It sounds insignificant, but that meant something. I have no idea why, but I cracked when I first saw this video. Plus, the freakin Rangers won it all!!!! Let's goooooooo!!!!!!

It was 100% just an investment scam, some random dude came to town and got with a bunch of local investors and had them invest immense ammounts of money to build a massive skyscraper of the day, but they didn't pay attention to that plans being measured in inches, the investors got what they paid for technically so there was no legal case, but there were lots of civil actions

Nobody likes Rider! Huskies all the way! I hate to see all that. I really thought we had come back from the April 10 tornado before I left to join the Air Force in 1990. We used to cruise Kemp, hang out at the movie theater at Sikes Center, and eat at Pizza Inn after the football games. So many memories from Wichita Falls hay days. I remember going to Sears and parking our car on the roof. Before the Hastings, it was Kmart, back when they were king. The ol’ theater used to play movies in the 80’s and my family and I saw the first Star Trek movie there, “Star Trek: The Motion Picture”. Can’t believe MSU changed their mascot and caved to the morons of the day. The only Mustangs that matter are from City View! I grew up in Sunset Terrace and lived on Cimarron Trail. The late 90’s were hard on WF and the droughts and government overreach pushed out all the big employers to overseas countries (China). Shepard AFB is the only real business keeping us afloat. I don’t think Sheppard AFB will be around in the future. We can’t sustain it anymore. I can’t believe they built those two new high schools. How ridiculous! The mismanagement of our city really burns me and I’m sad to see the direction we’re heading in. Lots of memories and lots of family there. Love my Wichita Falls…

I came real close to getting an assignment at Sheppard AFB for an instructor pilot slot. Thankfully, THANKFULLY was able to swap that out with someone who wanted that assignment. Could not imagine a worse place, well maybe Cannon AFB.

I was actually searching for a video on Wichita Falls because we were considering relocating just for a change of scenery but staying in a similar sized town as Abilene. But this is funny. No, but is it really that bad there? I was looking at crime stats this morning and yalls murder rate is double ours in Abilene and you are smaller than us by 30,000 people. Ranked number 8 out of 100 on safest places to live in the U.S. We are 16 on that scale. Am I making a bad choice?

The Rangers are doing awesome right now, and their Opening Day game was very personal for me. I lost a good friend of mine the week before, and his memorial service was the day before. And I was going through emotional pain still. I miss him terribly, but I know he’s in a better place now, up in Heaven. So, Rangers, from the bottom of my heart, I just want to say thank you.

😂😂😂 brilliant video mate. I stayed in WF for 5 months on exchange from Aus 20 years ago. I went to Hirschi High and the things I remember most about the trip were; My amazing film and theatre classes COLD Golden Chick Tornado watch Basketball Drugs (I was a sheltered kid so that scared the shiz out of me) The Mall Biggest Pizza I'd ever seen Learning to play dominos and My host parents home smelling like wet dog and orange cleaning spray.

I made a promise to the baseball gods if the Rangers beat Houston and go "Higher" than 3 game wins in the World Series, I would make "My Sacrifice" and shave off my beard. Totally worth it

This truly was a World Series I will never forget. I was watching the final game with my mom and brother, and when the commentator said “In their 63rd season,” and that landed in the strike zone, and it happened, you can believe that my brother and I were cheering loudly and my dad called me and we were both celebrating!!!!! The next day, my mom took me to Academy to get some Rangers World Series t-shirts!!! I even got a hat, but it was too big for my tiny head, (I’d rather not talk about it), so I gave it to my dad as a Christmas present!!!!! I haven’t seen too many World Series games, but this one, I will remember for the rest of my life!!!!! God Bless you!!!! God bless the USA!!!! God bless baseball!!!! Dude every time I watch this I shed a tear for my grandpa who went to both world series back in 2010 & 2011 and never got to see them win. Papaw they finally won it! I know he’s up there smiling seeing this.
