RIP Joe. We miss you.
Enjoyed your video tour. Was that in Manila ? Ever ate at fat eddies? How was the food?
Joe passed away late 2021
Year ??
This city certainly knows how to build a workable and viable tramway. Unlike Auckland which just goes round and round in circles with no hope of ever providing any kind of useful function.
I was a 🚌 bus driver in the 1980 but worked as a truck driver in the 1970
Hello! We ask everyone to help us save our trolleybuses! Thank you in advance
Wow!! Great video. interesting to see the ram extension in operation there. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful, wonderful video. Well done.
great video
Hi Joe, it's Jane from the Ferrymead Office. Can you get in touch with me at events@ferrymead.org.nz about getting some footage for advertising our next Toddler Thursday please?
Time will tell if the right choice was made to the trolleys off the road and if the new battery buses can handle Wellington's steep hills
There is a chance that they made the right choice. However, imho, if it were measured as an alcohol percentage, you could legally drive a car with it...
Well done Joe, very informative
Shame I live so far away. I'd be there in a flash especially as these trams have trolley poles....
Good to see footage exists of the horse tram in Papanui. Does anyone have old film of Kitty when the tramway opened in 1968 or any other early video?
Great to see it reopened. Christchurch is a beautiful city. The two wizards on the tram looked familiar- We saw them whilst we were having lunch in Regent Street (?) on a table set over the tram track, before the reopening, of course.
Great video. We visited NZ in March this year (2016) and rode on the City Tour, but some sections were temporarily (I hope) out of use, but the tram is one of the best ways to see the city. We loved it (the trams, the city, and the people) and wish that we could have had more time there.
Thank you, Mervyn. Delighted that you enjoyed the tramway. It has become a very important part of the Christchurch scene, particularly since the earthquakes.
excellent video. today i went down to the square to check it out for myself.
Are they currently running on this route permanently from now on?
Raphael Franks Yes, unless the builders in the vicinity want a shutdown but that will be hotly contested
