Lithuania is a free country with open borders, and many citizens go abroad to study or earn money in richer EU countries. However, many of them return to Lithuania with both money and knowledge.
Thank you.!Bella from Israel end Vilnius

Minimum salary in netto is ~708 Eur ( there are tax deductions for minimal salary )
Correct, good catch!

Just returned from the weekend in Stockholm, Sweden. Almost everything is twice or triple more expensive here in comparison to the Vilnius.
Hello sir 2 people are staying if low budget accommodation what will be the starting price whether 1800 euros is good salary in vilinus
Hi Anjaliha! The starting price for a 1-room apartment is 300€+utilities. 1800€ gross salary is a bit lower than average, but if both people have that income, it should be OK. However, it will depend on your life habits and preferences.
Good video, keep it up!
Thanks!
great work bro well im a student at SMK University, and I'm coming to Villnius very soon, could you guide me ,can I still rent an apartment ,where me and my 3 friends can live?
Hi! I'm not sure if university provides any accommodation, but the main service to find long-term apartments is aruodas.lt. And probably the best option for you will be to rent an apartment with several rooms with your friends and split the bills. It may take some time to find long-term option, and for the first days/weeks the best short-term rent services are Booking.com and Airbnb.com.
@@zhurnevich thanks a lot for a prompt reply, yes I'm looking at aurodas ,are there any scams on it? and if you get to know any apartment ,please let me know and thanks again for guidance
@@saribsohail9728Unfortunately, no, I don't have anything to provide. As for scams, it's rare, but sometimes could happen. So you should be cautious anyway and do not send money before you see actual apartment and sign rent agreement with the landlord. In advance I would trust the only co-living companies, at least you can read the reviews for them, but cost likely will be higher than renting apartment from some individual.
@@zhurnevich Got it,Thanks alot for guidance,i'll let you know if I have any other questions

The minimum wage post-tax is said to be 708,4 euro in 2024, while the post-tax average is 1333 euro. I'm using stat dot gov dot lt and LRT dot lt. Would you say these numbers are inaccurate? I think the untaxable minimum of 747 as of 2024 (the so-called NPD or "neapmokestinamasis pajamų dydis") is what tripped you up - you can't just apply the tax to the whole sum, you must apply it only to the remainder of it against which taxes can be deducted.
Hi, osp.stat.gov.lt is definitely a reliable source. I made a mistake with the minimum salary-it should be €708 instead of €560. Very good catch, and thank you for pointing that out! The average salary will also be a bit higher as a result. NPD is definitely important, and I found a useful calculator on tax.lt to see precise calculations after taxes.

Awesome, thank you for the sub!
Good work Bro.. Very Helpful.
Thank you for the feedback!
it very big prices can find the less price of flat and food
Well, I would consider 300€ as a bare minimum for a separate 1-room apartment in Vilnius. Also, when you initially move into the apartment, usually 2 month deposit is required (+600€). In addition, you need to add monthly payments for facilities (do not forget about heating as well). The only way I see to decrease this cost is either live somewhere out of Vilnius, or share an apartment/room with someone else and split the bills. As for food, you may try to use the only basic groceries and refuse eating out completely. But I don't think the total sum will be lower than 150€ a month per person.
It's also dependent on your lifestyle. Some people may want a 2 bedroom apartment with a dedicated office room in the city centre, and have a 2000 EUR budget. Some people may want to live in a tiny room somewhere far for 300 EUR.
Thanks for this video. I've just recently gotten admission to VGTU, and I believe this would help me plan properly.
Congratulations! I'm glad it was helpful, and best of luck!
I am coming in 28 August as international student How can I get a part time job and also I have no Acomdation in Vilnius can you guide us ❤
Congratulations and welcome to Lithuania! Unfortunately, I'll not be able to film something so quickly, but here are my thoughts. I'm not sure if university providers any accommodation, but the main service to find long-term apartments is aruodas.lt. As a cheaper alternative, it might be worth considering renting a room instead of the entire apartment. It may take some time to find long-term option, and for the first days/weeks the best short-term rent services are Booking.com and Airbnb.com. As for the part-time job, probably the easiest way is to join food-delivery services: Bolt or Wolt.

But... every second week are 'actions' (discounts) from -20% to -40% and for some -50%. Another market gives -40% for half of the goods every Thursday! Any product always has a discount, the only difference is the manufacturer this week. Most of these i never brought without discount for years.
Correct! I'm just doing the same. As for plenty of products, there is no sense to buy with the full price.
Hi! I am coming to Kaunas for my studies from Kazakhstan. Could you please tell me which stores usually have those discounts and how to get them. I would really appreciate your help!
@@BolatDosbolatov Hi Bolat, sure! There are four main retailers: Maxima, Lidl, Rimi, and Iki. All of them have apps, and after installing one and creating an account, you usually need to scan a QR code from the app at the checkout. Also, discounts change every week, so you can track the current discounts in paper booklets in-store or in the online versions of them in the 'Mano akcijos' app.
inshAllah I am coming soon

How much you paid for that in total ?
Unfortunately, it's difficult to say, as there were multiple purchases to show a bigger variety of products. However, my regular amount for a set of products with delivery is 60-70€. Or about 200€ per person per month.
