I decided buy this thank you for review❤❤❤
My pleasure!
Mine did not move at all after i did the first test. I fixed all correctly. Cld the power box is spoilt?
There are several possibilities and it's hard to diagnose without seeing it. Did you tap the spring on the circuit board (that's the power button)? Are you using a battery pack? If so, have you confirmed the batteries are good? You could also take the motor off of the assembly and test it that way. If it works then there's a problem with the gear assembly. I'm sorry I can't be more help.
Never seen a video like this, but I am so impressed of you patience, I would have quit on book part in video 1.
Thank you! It does require diligence but I believe the final product is worth the effort!
B7000 is a great glue choice for all the non paper items. I use it when I build book nooks. It has a fast drying time but doesn't dry immediately so you have time to adjust. It's dries clear and once it dries, it's stuck forever.
Cool! I'll keep it in mind for future projects! To be fair, the Aleene's Tacky Glue has worked wonderfully for most projects. Only time I really have an issue with it is with insulation (I had to glue some insulated wires to a "floating" piece of wood and it just wouldn't stick. Ended up using Gorilla Glue).
Hi, first of all, excellent work. I bought mine without the dust cover, could you tell me the width of the one that came with yours? Thanks.
Thank you! Mine's already assembled but it was just short of the width of the final piece. Just under 4.5 inches.
I’ve always been interested in Metal Earth but never tried one for myself so this was a great watch!
@@rainxsupreme Thank you! If opportunity permits I highly recommend them. Really fun and you can get some spectacular models for the shelf!
Oh hey I'm doing this one right now! I just started part 3
@@NikolaiWowe It’s a wonderful piece, isn’t it? Best of luck on yours!!
Just an addition to the comment I made of printing a copy ofsection (L).......I actually printed two, one in reverse to enable the gift models to mirror the front original faces.
@@brianbailey6138 Ok, that’s just awesome!
Superb instructions, clear and concise, but in depth. Thanks for doing this. The only thing I added, was to scan and print a copy of the sign section (L), to adhere to the back of the signs and toys, so it looks a wee bit nicer from the back.
It's in the stash along with about 30 others and about 80 metal kits. Arghhh must stop buying !!
That just means you have plenty to do in your retirement!
@thehobbyistgeek6566 have you seen the full on Dinosaur version of this set ?
@ I have not. Do you have a link?
Does anybody know a build similar to this? I like it and want more :)
Me too! I've done a few book nooks now but I haven't found anything that has the same feel as this one. The Ginzan Onsen build was the closest but it's such a frustrating build and very expensive.
That's so cool
It really is. One of my favorite builds!
Thanks for the walkthrough. Just finished mine, you are right about your final comments, but it really doesn't bother me that the tabs are there, I think it looks cool and what an accomplishment that definitely takes time and patience. Unfortunately, I wish I had watched this before I started because it was my first metal earth build, but all in all, I liked it, and this type of work helps my mental state. I look forward to building more! Thanks again!
My pleasure. You're right, it definitely looks cool!
I have the same lighting issue of the lights going on and off by themselves. The thermal sensor on mine absolutely does NOT work! This is the fourth Book Nook I have assembled and all of them functioned fabulously! I also gave up on some aspects of gluing and switched to hot glue.
It's good to hear I'm not the only one with the sensor issue! It's sad because it's a decent idea poorly executed....
HI. Thanks for posting these videos, they are so interesting. I have just purchased this kit and it will be great to have a 'live' instruction manual to make things easier. You explain things so clearly and are clearly enjoying the building process.
@@ChristinaBodey My pleasure! I hope you enjoy this build as much as I did!
Literally making it this week too, since I'm snowed in with the big south east snow storm. Thing is, I can NOT find P3, P1, and P4 lmao was hoping it'd be in today's video haha
@@10Nookolette01 I actually built this months ago (my videos don’t release in build order). As I recall P was on the roof part. Look at the lower left at 6:28 on my part 1 video: th-cam.com/video/lfOi1X6eNaI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IemrX2MDmRJJQDK9
@thehobbyistgeek6566 I found it about 2 seconds after I commented 😅😅 I was expecting a solid piece around the chandelier light that was thin and narrow... Not three seperate blocks . I'm a bit tired. But I finished it tonight!! Had a lot of leftover books so I got creative with my book placement
@@10Nookolette01 Definitely a lot of extra books in this piece. I decided not to use them as I prefer a clean aesthetic but the thought crossed my mind about littering the floor, and that balcony chair, with a few of them. Congrats on finishing the build! It’s a beautiful piece!
It always amazes me how much detail there is to look at in these book nooks . Great job on this project I
Thank you!
Just got it so can’t wait to make it
@@sylviageorge175 It’s an awesome piece! Best of luck with your build!
Pain, agony, misery Everything I’ve experienced trying to put this together
@@Adobo-Sigma I’m so sorry to hear that, but I understand! I’m sure you can do it if you stick with it!
I just discovered this channel, and this guy is so wholesome and relaxing to watch and listen to. He's like the Bob Ross of model making.
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
I was worried about attempting the canon, but then I found the wooden piece that the paper sticker forms around. Problem was that the wooden dowel piece was not listed in the instructions.
Yeah, I don’t know how but I managed to break my nose cone
I'm so sorry to hear that! Is it repairable? Perhaps a little glue?
@ I don’t know and I doubt it since it is such a small piece
Fantastic build. One question Pls. Is it possible to disable the sound but retain the mechanical movement and lights?
Yes. A single tap on the power button will disable the sound and leave the rest going. After 10 minutes the mechanical part will shut down and just leave the lights, and those will shut off after an hour.
It looks amazing, a very satisfying project 😊
It absolutely is!
Love putting book nooks together. Nice and relaxing and a break from metal models. Watching your videos made me start a new new hobby of metal earth and piececool models.
@@glassman6457 Glad to hear it! Happy building!
Hello ! Gunpla hobbyist there (the Gundam specialized plastic model kits). I was curious about this line since this never really got a lot of traction even in the Gundam community and.... I just want to say that I just learnt that other kind of hobby builds are waaaaay above my level now that I've seen this. Gundam building is very different with plastic parts clipping together and seeing you needing to foil all these challengingly tiny metal pieces without breaking anything was mesmerizing. Keep up the good work buddy, you are phenomenal. Love from the Gunpla community and good luck in your endeavors!
Thank you! It's my absolute pleasure to build these pieces. I know there are a few more metal earth Gundam models out there. If there's a specific model out there you would like to see let me know and I'll see what I can do to get it into the release schedule.
What are the dimensions
About 7.5 inches long, 6 inches tall, 2 inches deep.
I had this car as a toy when I was a kid
@@Dumpstermanlp That’s cool! I never did but I do now!
Awesome work with such lousy parts and instructions.
@@Zack1440 Thank you! This was a….unique piece…
👍🏽
Nice build. Thanks for sharing
My pleasure! It was a fun build!
looking great! I recently saw that one online and it looks amazing. Keep it up!!!
@@MOVIETIME-l4s Thank you! It’s certainly a beautiful piece and a fun build!
Thanks for your videos! You didn't mention anything, but do you know what the symbol is on page 27, top left assembly, pointing to the underside of part G6?
You're very welcome. I'm afraid I don't have the instruction manual anymore so I'm not sure what symbol you're talking about. A quick Google search did not reveal a digital version either. If you could show me the page I'll happily give it my best shot.
For the small cannons I used a darnning needle from my wife's sewing kit helped a lot. I'm now 2 third's of my way through the Windbreaker, the detail is ( I think ) out of this world for a fantasy boat, look it up, it's a skill set of 6 and has 11 sheet's and comes's with a book of instruction's and half a dozen layout sheets.
That sounds awesome! It's already on my list and I'll definitely be building it eventually.
This is beautiful, I just don't know if I'll ever be able to pull this off! You think a beginner with 0 model kit/metal puzzle experience can make this as his first piece? Or should I try out something smaller and less complex to wrap my head around first?
You should definitely go for the cheaper and less complex builds first to get some experience before tackling this guy. Metal Earth lists the difficulty ratings on their models on their website and packaging. Start with some of the beginner models, move up to intermediate, and then try challenging. Once you get there you should have no problems with Tarn.
@@thehobbyistgeek6566 right cool. Thanks for the help, I'll have a look on their website for a easier model
Wouldnt mind a more detailed build to help beginners
I have a few instructional style videos on here. The techniques on those models can be applied to this one.
Cool, i finally found a bumblebee in the wild, only a silver one like and my 1st ever metal earth build, hoping its not going to be as hard as it looks
Silver like the one I showed in the comparison towards the end? That one wasn't too bad. Just take your time and you should be fine.
How MUCH should that MU model version be that you show at the end? Someone is showing that on tiktok and saying it's $32 on aliexpress and it looks like a solid scam. The aliexpress link LOOKS just like what you showed near the end there (at the 18:20 mark), but is generically labeled, probably on purpose.
@@jg0002 About $60 USD or so. Might be a bit more now as it seems Mu stopped making them.
And lastly, thank you SO much for the walkthrough!
And again! Thank you!
In case anyone else was confused like I was at around 6:47, the light that was to the left of his left hand seems to disappear in editing. From what I gathered, he's moved the lights over 1 more. So the one that was dangling, goes in place of the first one he placed in the hangar and so on and so forth. Thank you for posting these!
@@wizkid91us you’re the first to catch that! I did move them over but forgot to film it and didn’t know how to correct it in editing. These were some of my first videos. My apologies for any confusion.
Again. Thank you!
I can't thank you enough for posting this video
@@wizkid91us My pleasure!
It wouldn't be called the black pearl if it had more colour, besides it looks like you gat the version 2 of it because the one I've got you had to construct the mast's individually in and each mast was in three parts, then you had to attach the rigging between each mast, that was not fun.But if you want more colour try the Queen Ann's revenge, I've done three out of the 4 pirates of the Caribbean set and I think Queen Ann looks the best. I'm now moved on and pushing my limit by doing one of the largest piececool do is the Wind Breaker with 10 sheets.
I can understand the hull being black, but the barrels and most all of the other details? It's still a good piece, but nowhere near as good as the other ships. I've already done the Queen Anne's Revenge and the Flying Dutchman (you can check those out on the channel as well). I didn't know about the Windbreaker though! Thank you! I'm going to get that ordered straight away!
A very challenging, 'testy' model to build, for certain! Especially when attaching the wings and exhaust port sections to the fuselage! But the way that sapphire blue, reflective finish captures the light is the 'eye candy' that hooks you into finding any way possible to build to completion! So glad that Metal Earth released this kit! It's a beautiful piece of art when done!
@@Titan52berg Agreed!
It’s been a year since you assembled the figure. Can you share how it’s holding up? Have you given it any special care? I just got mine, but I thought it was like the other Starscream model kit.
@@JorgeHernandez-mx8mw It’s holding up spectacularly! I’ve done nothing with it since the build. It just sits in a glass curio cabinet.
Amazing!!! Will be getting the Dutchman, Queen Ann and St. Basil tomorrow. I think I will be set for a month 😀 Great video, thank you
@@Brandozabr My pleasure! Your plans for the month sound exceptional!
My rivet parts to hold the parts in where too small and would not hold the parts in, very frustrating but I made it work.
@@MrShimmyshoo I had a similar issue. A little glue and all was well.
Finally finished (I only do 2-3 stages at a time) and works like a dream, this is my first ever wooden ROKR model and following the instructions and your video found it to be clear and easy going. I'm 71 and now I'm thinking of the next one to keep those brain cells ticking over, thanks for a great instruction video.
My pleasure! Sounds like you're about to get sucked into the rabbit hole of model building! Welcome to the club!!!
I just got this model i wish you didn't fast forward through the bending part because I couldn't tell how you bent it
I understand. These are just build and review videos, not instructional ones. I do have some instructional videos (not for this piece) though. May I ask which part in particular gave you trouble? It's been a while but I may be able to help.
Literally just rage quit on the nose. Ordered those molds you used🙄 Thanks for the upload I would’ve just thrown the thing away if I hadn’t know about em!
@@Boog_Man26 My pleasure! I hope it works out!
