I honestly didn't think about it, and I don't recommend doing this as it might get your account banned. But if you're playing on a non-steam version as I do, then yeah, it is a good thing to slow down the game a bit and learn how to catch a proper timing.

I actually didn't intend it to be like that, I just posted how I as a "Giantdad" (in speech marks cuz there is no giant's and no mask of the father) managed to slay SoC. This is my 4th walkthrough and this is my first walkthrough completed with STR weapons. I also managed to slay Slave Knight Gael off-camera on my 3rd try.

@@anri_szyrykowski Too hard to pull off, and the game is too easy to use something like that, if you need runes badly or something you might as well use Cheat Engine. I come from ER and Sekiro and this game is a breeze

click on flask while its still highlighted and it plays the animation but boss soul still lost tried atleast 100 times now

You can get banned for modifying your files, but not for usage of in-game glitches, otherwise move swap wouldn't be viable in PvP. In short: no, Babazaki isn't banning your and my asses for this glitch.

No, you don't have to.

AFAIK I dunno any other stuff like that, maybe Darksign? It also has that YES/NO prompt, but it's not consumable, maybe you can try with homeward bones as they have similar prompt (but you can choose to return to either Firelink Shrine or last bonfire you rested at). By the way, you've just given me a new idea - infinite homewards before Coiled Sword Fragment and Homeward miracle? HMMMM Even though it's pointless with infinite souls as you can buy shit load of bones from Shrine Handmaid. But it's still worth a shot, for the sake of "science", y'know. UPD: It does work with homeward bones, but I recommend to make a backup of your save file instead. All the steps in order to make infinite homewards are the same, the only requirement is that it must have a prompt in order to pull of an action queue abuse.

As I said, you first try to attack with your bow (without arrows, that's important) in order to activate butt scratch and at the same time trigger the prompt by using boss soul, if you did it correctly it will show animation + prompt at the same time. Then after saying "YES" use your Weapon Art and in Toolbelt you use your flask, you should hold Weapon Art button, then release it and use the flask, you should do it fast or the game will block you from using the flask and you will consume the soul (as I discovered later the flask doesn't have to be empty, but after that it will deplete one unit of it) Animation of using boss soul will play, but the soul will not be consumed.

hello, I failed my attempt on an alternative character and used up the boss soul 😅. I wanted to ask how I can make backup file before I test this out on my main character. Thank you.

@@Detsuuuuu you can go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\DarkSoulsIII (on Windows), there is an another folder with the name of DS30000.sl2, you can copy that file to another place and if you messed it up you can replace your current save file with your back-up save file.

I hold it before that, and after you opened the menu you can quickly release it and use the flask, but you have to do it fast as it sometimes might block you from using the flask

isn't as hard as pivoting technique glitches in DS3 also have souls-like difficulty (unless it's Aldrich's AI freeze)

You need to do it as fast as possible, otherwise you will lose the soul

Yes, otherwise the input will be blocked and you will not be able to "consume" the flask (and you will lose the soul) but after the animation of WA will play you can release it. Pivoting does the same (it delays the block), but it's harder to pull off.

Indeed, you can use any boss soul which gives 20k currency souls (nearest boss which gives you that soul is Stray Demon, but it requires you to speedrun all the way to Farron Keep up to that tower) Also, I did some math and discovered that for acquiring all max stats you need approximately 170 hours of sheer dupe of 20k boss soul. And yes, I recommend to do a backup of your save file (just copy and drag it to another place on your PC) in case of screwing that up. Have fun :)

you haven't seen the glitch where the pivoting is required (triggering a pivoting animation by running and turning in the opposite direction), you would have needed really a lot of attempts to pull that off for the first time Also, as I wrote in the description, for this save state is recommended, you can just copy the save file to another place, delete the previous save file and replace that with a new one (also by copying) Don't forget about one thing: in souls-like games glitches also have a souls-like difficulty.
