What is the price for this kit?
Great vid! I've been smoking a pipe seriously for about 5 years now. I smoked aromatics and the like in college but recently came back. A few tips I'd throw in: pipe smoking is a journey. There's a lot to learn and discover. That's part of the fun! So treat it like one. You'll make mistakes and find things you don't like along the way. That's okay. You get better as you go! Another is that pipe smoking is actually very intuitive. The more you do it, the more you find what works for you. It's part of the journey! I listen to my instincts: slow down your cadence or try a different pipe, etc. Smoking isn't a science; it's a meditation. Lastly, I'd recommend NOT throwing out tobaccos. I have often returned to things much later and found I enjoyed them later when at first I didn't. My tastes are also cyclic so I'll gravitate to some blends, move onto others, and then later come back. Tobaccos improve with age in a jar so why not keep them? A cellar is an investment in different experiences. Having a lot to choose from is part of the fun!
What a fun comparison! I'm a Lakeland fiend! I have smoked a lot of Ennerdale, Kendal, Bosun, Brown Flake Scented, etc. I'm so used to Lakelands being flakes that the Grousemoor is fun and different. I just got a tin of it. I really enjoy the Grousemoor! I like how light and refreshing yet floral the Grousemoor is. I also enjoy what seems like lemongrass or something. Grousemoor is a refreshing change of pace. It's milder and sweeter than Ennerdale.
🍃🍃💯💯🍃🍃Awesome design
I had the opposite experience. Very heavy on the lakeland when I opened the tin. The lakelandliness was of the aftershavish kind, very refreshing, and pleasant too. I had to left the can rest, so wet and perfumy it was, and then the florals began to fade. Took me 6 moths to finish, and it improved troughout the process. I think freshness of the tin is the key. With the very loosetight SGth tins, quite often it's better when older, like with St. James Flake or FVF. Good review, my man
just trying this for the first time. i've only been smoking a year but i've tried a lot of the popular favorites out there. i can immediately say that this is one of the finest quality tobacco offerings i've come across.
Great build. Also great Batman voice
I think most definitely Latakia has a stronger taste but not stronger nicotine
I went to the transcription at 6:57 to try getting an answer. But, I don’t think the pipe could be call The Butt of Steel. I have to know the name of this pipe. Does anyone know?
A very nice collection.
Muadib ! Nice pipe😊
I bought this same kit a while back and love it. The pipe is not briar, but ebony. But it still smokes well. Worth every penny.
I've got the plug version and it's like a straight virginia no notable flavours at all
I want to smoke regular rolling tobacco, not pipe tobacco, in a pipe. Will using the activated charcoal filter help prevent or reduce tongue bite??
The best thing you can do to prevent tongue bite is to smoke your pipe slowly. Don't puff hard, but rather, sip it, as you would a fine wine or bourbon. But yes, filters can help.
@@ASMRcigarlounge1865 Thank you for your reply!! I really appreciate the information. I hope you’ll have a nice rest of the day☀️☀️😊
@@bruno_giordano My pleasure, Bruno 👍
Good on you mate - great job.
This stuff is amazing, Im sitting on a couple pounds!
How did you get labels on the lids
Great tips. I’ve been smoking pipes for over 20 years. Your pipe packing method is dead on with what I do. The biggest tips is to smoke slow and sip the smoke. I used to take walks or work on pipes in the shop while smoking. I found this just didn’t make for an enjoyable experience. I now treat pipe smoking as a time I set aside to really enjoy the tobacco. If you smoke too fast, the tobacco gets hot in the flavors aren’t what they should be. If you slowly sip the pipe with a good drink be it coffee, tea, water, root beer or a good bourbon or Scotch you’ll enjoy it much more.
what an utterly beautiful pipe.
Have both like both but prefer the flake. To me the flake is just the rubbed ramped up deeper richer fuller. Like say a Laphroaig oak select and Laphroaig 10 both Laphroaig both peated both good but the 10 is just better. Love st.bruno both great but the flake is just better
WoW that Belgrod egg Cavalier is Amazing....where do I find those guys... .Awesome collection!!!
Hey Greg i hope your keeping well , would love to hear that life is treating you well and all is ok .
Apprently you should not smoke from ebony bc it is toxic and this pipe is described as ebony
Inexpensive briar? I don't know if I know that hehehe
Where are you located just curious?
👍
Greg ….. my friend, is everything well with you??? Don’t need details. I just want to know you are well. Silviu 🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝
I love pipes
Thank you for your balanced thoughts but the English pronunciation of Latakia is very near the original Arabic . The American pronunciation is wrong . Lathikia or Lathiqia ( TH as in The or this ). You have to press on the last ( i ). ............... لاذقيّة..............
Very nice !! Very nice indeed..Pipe porno..
Thank you very much Greg . Very wise advices specially with the prices of Tobacco and pipes in Sweden . I really wish I saw this video two or three years ago. Please do not stop making videos on TH-cam . We miss you greg.
The English pronunciation is wright and very near the Arabic origin. I am Arab and the original name of the port in Syria is Lathiqiya ( th like in this or that).
Thanks Creg but where did you buy it ? Here in Sweden ?
Can you still get this in the US?
Bor du ute på Värmdö?
I pinch my flake into a ribbon or shag before packing, and it burns much better.
If you want to try some really robust tobaccos with a Lakeland topping, I can’t recommend Bosun or Coniston Cut Plug enough. Working my way through these myself, and still have 1792, Dark Flake Scented, and Bob’s Chocolate Flake on deck. Trying to decide if I need to add this or maybe Grousemoor, which I hear is stronger from a tobacco perspective. Thanks for the vid!
thanks for the video! Just got this myself and was wondering how the lever at the wheel works, so this video helped a lot! also, if you put that black hook thingy on the left side of the handle you attach the connected cable onto that. don't think it will solve the part where you have to hold the cable on your shoulders tho 😅
How is going to cut higher grass about 25 cm / 10 inches ?
The pouch and accessories are nice but the pipe, in my opinion, is horrible. It tasted like chemicals to me. I only smoked it once.
Hope you are well friend! Take care . Giulliano
Thank you! It's was helpful!
I really enjoy condor, it's one of my favorite tobaccos. Some people will say its a bit of a love or hate thing but I love it!
I just bought both of these blends this morning and have been waiting for a long time to try these. I am excited. Sweet smokes bro
Thank you for the video, I consider buying the exact product now I know what to expect
Very cool
Is it worth getting a tin?
Thanx tuff guy, plan on pickin thid up.
Very well done video, sir, you know your stuff
I've smoked Condor , off and on, since 1973 and still haven't deciphered the flavour profile. Luckily I love the stuff, so the research isn't too much of a chore. Happy puffing!
