On the question of disparity in the sizes of subsequent Federating Units of the prospective Orange Union, this speaks to one of the reasons current Nigeria should never have been created. A Federation is an artificial political arrangement & there are political principles of federalism guiding such polities. According to the Equal Status Principle, the Federating Units are ALL EQUAL. NO autonomous community would voluntarily enter a political union that would commit it to accept a permanently inferior status. It is also the general recommendation that contracting entities be as equal in size, pop & wealth, as possible. We know there are gradations in these attributes: some entities will be bigger in size, some more populous & others more resources-rich. Regardless, they're all equal as given in the eg of California & Rhode Island. California is the most populous state, the 3rd largest in the US, & much richer than tiny Rhode Island. Yet they are equal despite size, pop & wealth disparities because each surrenders the same portions of its autonomy to the center. "The evident purpose of these characteristic features of Federalism is to guarantee the equal status of the member-states of a Federal Union"....Norman Rogers The recommendation is to forestall problems such as we have today in Nigeria with an overbearing North & a Nigeria that birthed as an unstable Federation at Independence, due to the pop/size disparity between North & the other Regions. So in order not to set the stage for opportunism and avoid birthing another unstable country, it is best for the contracting entities to abide by the recommendation which is also one out of the few prerequisite conditions necessary for making a Federation advisable. Ethnic Nationalities need to look at all the conditions & guiding principles, then decide if they want to continue in such a lopsided arrangement, although they will all be EQUAL.

No Acquittal was ordered by any Court because you cannot talk of Acquittal when the Charges have not been tried. Quashing of Charges or Discharge of Charges is not Acquittal.
