Brilliant little coupes. I owned several but my fav was my first 67. Baby Jag…
❤
Nice
68 had a green one.my first car about 1975
Forgive my perhaps uninitiated ears - what sound are we hearing that's indicative of the issue?
Sorry missed this, it's whining and clunking. There was about 10mm play on the input shaft when I took it out.

lack of research?

Lovely video! Keep them coming!
Style!! Wow
It sounds great 👍
Standard carbs or?
Yes standard Stromberg cd150s
@@EMPI748 sounds top class. Triple webering mine
@@xanderfrench4011 nice, was tempted to do the same but after I rebuilt a set of standard ones it runs great. Get videos up of it running when you are done, maybe change my mind again 😉
Ракета 🚀
Great to see an ex-WD 16H being used as it was when it was first 'recruited' - When I was looking for a WW2 WD bike my first preference was the 16H and the second was the Matchless WDG3L, in the end I had to settle for the G3L (which I do love, but it's not a Norton..) because funds were tight at the time and I just couldn't find a 16H within my budget ! - I hope the old girl is still going (2022) and you're still gunning her up those hills !.. Great stuff..
There is a 16h for sale at Verralls at the minute I'm sorta interested in.I have had a couple of British bikes in the past,Norton Commando and Velocette Venom. Both were lovely to ride but unreliable and pigs to start.
Togli il cupolino. Non si può vedere
Sounds amazing! My '67 has a single stainless steel exhaust fitted but doesn't sound anywhere near as aggressive. Did you make any other changes other than the exhaust to get it to sound that way?
There is a 6-3-1 manifold on it too, but otherwise standard. It had the single sports on it when I bought it, but the twin sounds miles better.
@@EMPI748 Thanks for your reply! Definitely worth considering the same changes on mine
Same set-up as mine, love the sound ! Are the throttle linkages sufficiently tight ? The right shaft doesn’t seem to move along with the left one
Probably not at that point, was sort of thrown back together and let warm up as I really wanted to hear it. Turned out I had a couple of faulty new plug leads too
Hacking it in the modern traffic like a young thing, what an impressive beasty ! thanks for a brilliant video - feels like I'm on it enjoying the run.

Found this last night .i last rode a 16h Norton over 30 years ago (now 75 ) .what a treat i felt every bump on my journey with you ,the sound of the S/V clattering away .the only thing i missed was the rush of the air ,and not actually riding it .I had a couple of Nortons along with Velo's a 36 empire star and many others .But my favorite was the 16h mine was a 1942 but it army livery all i have now are some photo's and happy memories .Thanks for this treat , Ride safe and enjoy your Norton .and take my advice sell the wife before you part with it .
you selling this???
Damn little wonder to me now; why Y'all's beer & tea is drank so dark & stout. -Cheers from the home our 3 Blood Baptized Texans... Crockett, Bowie, & Travis. I straddle up & ride a fully restored 1968 TR6R Triumph Trophy Sports 650 every chance I get.
Enjoy your riding, mine was a 68 Bonnie, before that a beautiful 1961 DBD 34 Clubmans Goldie.
Hey Stuart, Can I ask where you got your swing arm?
Bit more traffic on the road than in 1942.
Nice saltire there mate.
Who needs 115 hp and 6 gears?
The silly thing is that many now consider 115HP to be inadequate!
Microphone only heard the clutch.
Brilliant virtual reality! Nice to hear a clattering(timing chest) old 500 single. I would suggest either the valves are nearly burnt out or the mixture is too lean which will eventually result in the same story-the machine will not idle so the rider is constantly having to blip the throttle-raising the carburettor slide one notch might improve things.
I would suggest you're over reaching yourself. It's sidevalve, they run big tappet clearances and as the tappets aren't hidden under the tank they sound noisier. By the way I run an M21, a 16H; and a Nuovo Falcone which when set up correctly sounds like a concrete mixer, they all do..... The only thing I would say is that this bike is possibly running a bigger engine sprocket than my standard one
Thanks for your reply Mr. Atkinson-sorry to overreach myself! I enjoyed the video-I used to have a 1949 Ariel Red Hunter which I rode to Italy twice, cruising up to 75 mph, but in those days(1970s) we had leaded fuel.
Which they didn't have in 1949. The old bikes don't need leaded fuel. I rode my AJS single to Italy in '83
speed humps really piss me right off
Me too... we get pissed! While on my '68 Triumph however I try & take em where they're the shallowest near the curb edge where possible. Howdy from Cowtown Texas.
Nice going :) I would like to do the same on my Model 18 when I get it home.
Some scary heavy breathing...nice bike...
Nostril baffle removed
Stuart was it injectors?
H, i did you work out what the problem was ?
That's like watching paint drying
Wonderful bike
How are the brakes in wet conditions?
This needs a good external mic. Sound quality is painful. Beautiful bike though
did you find what the problem was
Camera is a Sony hdr- asr30v
Hi Alan, I find it quite stable, it's more stable than the spirit prs I had before but is also a fair bit faster. You would be most welcome to try it out, we are through in north Berwick quite a bit, may be there on Sunday depending on the weather and how bad I have jet lag from Mumbai trip...
can you tell me how the CLK is in terms of stability, say between it and other skis you have had. also what camera is giving the data is it a garment virb?
how do you find the CLK. I wouldn't mind a try in one. did you compare it with any others, say v8 etc?

Beautiful.
Coolant getting into the exhuast
It's a 2008. No definately not for sale...
Stuart Anderson Should be an '06 no? The '06 was the last asymetrical swing arm and dry clutch as well. Nice bike though. I've been looking for one with a decent price but they are all up there in the mid $20k
