Modelling a bottle in Maya using curves
มุมมอง 2.1K4 ปีที่แล้ว
In this tutorial, we look at modelling a bottle using curves and the revolve tool. With this technique, you can create half a profile of your bottle in Adobe Illustrator or Maya. The revolve setting allow us to use box modelling or polygonal tools to manipulate the geometry and how you can quickly make alterations to make a variety of designs. We also explore how to create curves inside of Maya...
Modelling a Chair in Maya
มุมมอง 2.2K4 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, we will be modelling a chair. Using the connect tool we will create evenly spaced edge loops, the bridge tool to join faces and bevel tool to add detail. Also, use the multicult tool to retopology the geometry into quods.
Modelling a Table in Maya
มุมมอง 12K4 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, we are looking at how to create a table using Maya. We are looking at how to use the bevel tool to create nice highlighted on the edges as well using the duplication special to create an instance for the legs, so when we edit one all 4 update.

Thank you 😊
very helpful, thank you!
im having a hard time hearing you. your talking a little low
tip : watch this video, do not click on random icons *one which looks like an A4 paper *

Thank you so much, I am learning maya for the first time this semester and the teacher doesn't really teach well so thank you for something like this, makes much more sense to me this way!
Thank you!
your welcome :)
👍
simple and straight to the point thanks
✌️
Lucas, very useful! Also, this is a bit of a long shot, but I'm tearing my hair out (there's no left!)- is there a simple way to make a basic transparent material, with refraction, in viewport 2.0? I want to make a cheap water effect with refracted ripples, if ya get what I mean
I know the feeling, as i have the same hair cut :) Yes there is have a look at this glass tutorial th-cam.com/video/xM0p5h6VjBA/w-d-xo.html
Awesome
It takes 46s to actually click Lattice.
you can select it in the outline if that helps
its been 2 years and i am waiting for the next ep to arrive
Check out the UV tut then the texture tut then your done. Links below hope that helps. Or is there some else you looking for. Sorry for the random dump of videos in this channel as I use to hold my teaching content and haven't had the time to get the channel sorted out yet.

you may want to re title this to "Arnold sky dome lighting"
TYSM Im doing a game design course so this is a nice upper hand for me <3
thank you. Awesome channel
Ugh i had the same problem of lattice not working.I forgot the delete by history thing Thanks
very simple, straight forward and informative, thank you Lucas!
wow thanks bro for nicely explain are you on instagram ?
thanks ! yes i am instagram.com/lucas_licata_melb/
What is the standard scale I should built something
World scale so all your projects match. Unless you doing physics simulations then use 1 cm is one meter. World scale is also best for PBR
How do I put the two faces that I deleted back onto the box?
Append to polygon or fill hole tools
to bring the pattern super super quick and easy from Ilustrator to maya watch from minute 1 here: th-cam.com/video/80g8FenArh0/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=AldoFigueroa thank me later
saved me hours of translating my korean professor then having to rewatch the tutorial. Work Smarter not harder
Got this warning - // Warning: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2020/scripts/others/batchRenderOptions.mel line 19: Renderer "mayaHardware2" does not provide batch rendered options.
You can also use Render Sequence. Sounds like you need to reinstall maya. I haven't seen that error before.
@@lucaslicata4127 yes, Batch render did not work, so I rendered sequence🙂
Nice video, it's a pity though that there was not a link to download the AI file you used :P
thanks for the feedback here link to the pattern www.clker.com/clipart-victorian-pattern-black.html
is there a skydome or physical sun and sky in maya hardware 2.0?
No but there is a work around that I use , th-cam.com/video/m-fc_VrDMN0/w-d-xo.html, also if you want to render the Arnold skydomeas a background in Hardwear 2.0 check out th-cam.com/video/YKrfZcXTqhs/w-d-xo.html. Hope that helps
it looks like it s short video of something, is there the full tutorial somewhere? pretty good by the way, thanks
That really helped me alot thank you
good
Can we add foggy lights or volumetric lights
Yes hardware 2.0 has ability to render fog as atmosphere and you can also render a fluid container to look like fog.
Awesome! Such an easy way to do this. I love that you used sculpt tool to dent the iron a little bit; it kind of gives it an "aged" and "used" feel to it. Thank you!
Thanks Robyn :)
