Welcome to Jake’s Journal!
I started this channel in March 2020 through the first lockdown.
I then started my journey on the famous Wraysbury where I fished for two years.
Then going on to Northey Park in Peterborough chasing some lovely old carp.
I have made the decision to fish more locally for the moment, fishing last spring on a small syndicate with some lovely carp. I'm hoping to get out a bit more consistently this year and get back to posting videos on my channel.
I try to create an honest and real account of my angling, sharing the highs and lows as I go.

SPRING ON MY NEW SYNDICATE | BIG CARP FISHING 2023
After making the decision to leave Northey Park I was a little unsure on my next move. With lots of upcoming life commitments I knew fishing was going to be difficult.
I realised I made an error and missed my renewal on a ticket which really left me stumped as to what to do. Luckily a ticket was available for me on a small local syndicate which has been on my radar for a while now with lots of big fish really pushing on.
I got started in May and eventually found my feet and enjoyed some really good fishing!
I hope you enjoy the video and apologies for the late upload, it's been a busy summer!

Hmm, you are snag fishing in one of your rod and you mentioned after losing your second bite that it takes a bit to get to it and to add to this, your 3rd rod is way more than 5 meters from your swim! Apart from losing fish, that can’t be safe for the fish even if you fish lock up? Fish care comes first. I can just imagine if you are lucky enough to have a double take from the single rod and one from your main swim?!
Hi mate! Yeah completely get that, I was sat next to the rod when I lost that fish it just didn’t go my way but yes I now only fish with the one rod in that area now and only fished the one night with that other rod 👍🏼
