I just received video of a few color guard shows at Clarkston HS from '78 - '82, which I am in the process of editing and posting. Have a look at my channel, "Vintage Color Guard". Also, I'd appreciate any input on the color guard "The Phoenix", if anyone will be so kind as to double check my postings. regards, Matt Hudson, formerly of Flushing, MI.

This seemed a lot longer than the video, since we were on empty and at the top of Mount Evans. Check out the coast down the mountain.

Mr C. pushed EVERY year hard. He wouldnt settle for anything less than our best! I was part of the drum line 1979-1981.

@johnmac59 Haha yeah, we have 13 different props. 12 of them roll together to make a picture, and theres another prop behind those ones. We roll them around during the show at points and open them... its fun :)

@Penguin0Lover0Dubya We never used any props while I was in the band at Clarkston. Other bands used them, but not quite to the extent that they do now days.

Wow, they did it a lot different back then!We use a lot of props now. But then again I don't go to Clarkston...

The water never warms up until August. I remember doing this in the early 80's when I was much much younger.

wow... I wasn't at the prelims, but I was at the finals for the standstill at PCEP. What terrible weather they had that year. It's too bad no-one got to march.

it must of been cold then, when it was warm there was over 100 people there
