$80K SUV BATTLE UPDATED!! -- 2024 Chevy Tahoe vs. 2024 Ford Expedition: Comparison
In the market for a big, comfy SUV? The Chevy Tahoe and the 2024 Ford Expedition are two popular choices. But which one is right for you? We'll break down their strengths, like passenger space and towing capacity, to help you decide which one muscles its way into your driveway. Let's get right down to the price battle between the Chevy Tahoe and the 2024 Ford Expedition. The Chevy Tahoe rolls in with a starting MSRP of $56,200. If you're a budget-conscious buyer, that might be your stopping point. But for those who crave all the bells and whistles, the Tahoe can reach the price of $80,000 depending on the chosen trim level. That's a price range of $23,800, offering plenty of wiggle room for customization. Now, the Ford Expedition counters with a slightly more attractive starting price of $55,525. That $675 difference might seem minor, but it could be the deciding factor for some buyers. Similar to the Tahoe, the Expedition offers a range of trims, pushing the top price tag all the way up to $80,000 for the most luxurious options. So, the price range for the Expedition also sits at $24,475, offering comparable customization within a similar ballpark.

    Just did some research (thanks to reddit google and LLMs) and sorry to disappoint you guys, its even harder if not impossible to have a self-sustaining electrolysis reaction (it needs a lot of energy and not efficient enough), here's a bit of math with google gemini : No, the 154 Wh of energy obtained from burning the 112 grams of hydrogen produced from 1 liter of water wouldn't be enough to power the electrolysis process to generate that same amount of hydrogen. In reality, the electrical energy used to split the water is greater than the energy you can obtain from burning the resulting hydrogen. So, electrolysis isn't an ideal way to generate a net gain of energy.

    Unfortunately everyone who falls for this AHole putting up these videos, you need some help. Or just go study some physics and chemistry which will help with some broader understanding of how things work. If Toyota really has water engine or European companies for that matter who have been working on synthetic fuels for over 2 decades (almost 3) had a solution, don't you think those cars will be on market by now especially when all these companies are having really tough time selling their vehicles? Meanwhile BEVs are kicking some ass of traditional ICE vehicles. I don't own a BEV but just saying. If you really want to watch good content, watch "Engineering Explained" channel that puts out some really useful content compared to these clickbaity videos. Some AHole sitting somewhere always makes content like this. Would you watch if this effer mentioned Hydrogen engine in the title? Think about it. Also, Hydrogen production right now is much pricier than gas/petrol and it would be at least a decade before it gets to a reasonable production price. Hydrogen engines aren't new. Only thing new is Fuel Cell vs direct Hydrogen. If you need to use water for fuel, then you also need a system to convert water to Hydrogen first which is not possible on a small car. As a student you might have done the mason jar experiments to produce hydrogen and if you have done it, you know it's not efficient and takes forever to produce a Kilo of Hydrogen. Think how many kilos you need to run a vehicle that weighs 3000lbs. Then apply the time it takes to produce that much hydrogen. You have your answer.

      Not going to happen anytime soon brother. Hydrogen production at scale will take at least a decade or two and by then they would have already had new batteriy and capacitor technology. There are already few varieties coming out soon in the next year or two that will replace current battery tech and also dry electrode chemistry is going to bump up density which is more than enough to last you over 2000 to 4000 cycles that accounts for half a million miles driven. Also with new tech, there is no need for rare metals anymore. Think physics and chemistry. For your information, I'm invested in Plug Power, Bloom Energy and they still have a decade or two before they can produce at scale. China and India also have been working on reducing cost of Hydrogen production but the targets are near 2035. So, think about that for a second and check new battery tech that's coming out. This is just a click baity video.

    There is no way you can store enough compressed air on board to make this worthwhile. The only way to increase range would be to increase the pressure the air is stored at. The amount of work it takes to increase air pressure is no where near linear, thus the more you compress the air, the less efficient the energy transfer from electricity to air pressure becomes. There is no such thing as free energy.

Resurfaced in 2009 ish by french MDI "CAC" compressed air car, again, useless. All PROVEN to be so ineffecient it would Increase "green house gas" in the atmosphere due to the production and storage of compressed air being so inefficient. Air Compressors only deliver about 10% of the energy consumed to useful output, the rest is wasted as heat. This is why running the AC for example in your automobile consumes so much extra fuel.

    Maybe they will figure out that compressed air should turn generators for electric engines propulsion.

      Or they probably did but will tweak it and “re-market” it as some “new innovative tech” 😏

    TheProblem is.How do you get pressurized air?You use electricity which comes from a coal fired plant or some other fossil Source. So you're still not green.These people are just leading you on and b.Yes.And you just like they did with the electric cars

    • @CarInfluence623
      @CarInfluence623 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Solid point. The could be leading us on…or if they find a way…in this day and age with ai and tech continuously evolving…the possibility is there 🤔🤔

      @matt3054 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Although the generation of electricity is currently not at an ideal level of green, it is evolving in that direction. It's no reason to "throw in the towel" on the EV idea. One big point is that they are still cheaper to operate as you can get at least half of a gas tank worth of driving range for $2 by charging it overnight in your garage. If everyone is going to be running their personal compressors at night to "charge," then it still has the same advantages.
