I recently watched a review/abbreviated playthrough of the 1990s DnD "Menzoberranzan" computer game. I didn't realize that the game's title was the same as that of the city-state.

I do like the idea of older vampires being able to control werewolves to some degree. Dire wolves, Ogre wolves. I haven't heard anything about the Wolfwere in decades. Does it still exist in games?

Just use chat gpt, I hated it for a long ass time until someone just told me to write some stuff in it. Gave me a hell of a campaign and was astounded how it pulled a lot out of some garbage story I put in. Was pretty cool

I mean, the traps were VERY out there for a properly run Kobold dungeon, but the level of suffering and trauma was quite on par. Last time I ran a kobold dungeon, most of their traps were weight-based, and they were skilled in making cheap balsa wood that could support Kobold weight look like sturdy oak that could support Human weight.

This is a good interpretation of how adventurers should be. I always play my characters as having a bit of a problem after their first big reality check. Usually manifests as borderline racism toward one or more monstrous races or a distaste for the undead, but none of my characters ever got rekt by traps, yet. I usually play a caster, so I'm in the back, letting the frontliners step on stuff 😂

When the book Homeland came out I started reading it around 8:30pm and finished it around 4am. Never had I read a book so fast in my life. That's how good it was.

in the third book, sojourn, he says his name to a child and the child runs away saying "its a drizzit!" i figured this was salvatores way of telling us how to pronounce it. sort of like how in harry potter rowling had that moment in the fourth book where hermione tells victor krum how to pronounce her name properly. rowling has said she did this so people would know how to say it right. i ahve been reading it as "drizzit" for so long its just habit now.
