Perfect no hit/near no hit guide but us mere mortals get hit & need to heal. We need to see every piece of the puzzle & this guide is missing the very time consuming safely healing aspect. You make it look easy.

I left a comment on Asmongold video 11 months ago. I guarantee i died a 1000 times. I got my ass whooped all last night. Lol I've gotten through so many bosses in every From soft game, I went through on one of my three elden ring play through and followed a guide and fought every single boss and mini boss. I beat them all without online play or magic. By no means am I very good just very persistent. But I can't beat her, I'm so hoping if I watch this enough I can melee her. It's ruining the game for me. I feel like I can't go into the DLC until I accomplish this. I quit for 11 freaking months because of her. I also wonder if there is anyone else like me who still hasn't beaten her smdh.

watching this man play I realize how freaking terrible of a player i am. I am a 40 year old gluten for punishment DS player. I've had 3 play throughs and I can't beat her. I mean hundreds upon possibly thousands of attempts. He makes it look so damn easy.

Just seen this video and even though the tips are good....I would try and think more from a 'normies' point of view. U obviously have alot of time into the game. Constantly saying the fight is easy isn't very realistic. At level 150 i'm 240 attempts in and never got her below half health on 2nd phase. This is by no means an easy fight which is why before the DLC it was universally known as the hardest boss fight in gaming. You are obviously very good at the game and studied it alot, not everyone has so drop the whole "she's an easy fight" act.

Beat her in 56 tries. First time playing the game. Best tips I can give is LIGHT ROLES, bleed and frost damage melt her. You’ll still die a lot, because the boss fight requires a lot of rng and skill, but even if you’re an absolute brainrotted dumbass who barely knows how to roll (like me), if you put effort in you can beat her. If you can’t dodge waterfowl, use a shield, if you want to learn how to dodge waterfowl, use a guide. Malenia is the hardest boss in the base game, but she’s also very accessible for every character to adapt strategies with.. you don’t have to change your entire build just to beat her.

I have a very similar high-level build and I've been at this for days and i feel like I'm doing zero damage compared to you, has she been changed on the last two years? its like shes half asleep in your battle but in mine shes chugged a truck full of energy drinks.

Beat first her after i saw your guide on the second phase. I usually play with summons, spells, and other cheesy stuff, but i decided to challenge myself and i just couldn't get enough of it. Sure, I probably died like 100 or so times, but it gave me the same thrill that playing dark souls gave me. 10/10, would fight again. I think i might never fight with summons again cuz of how fun that was. For anyone wondering, i was using the Let Me Solo Her build except i put frost mist on my uchigana and used a fire infused nagakiba instead of rivers of blood.

I've been working on this fight solo for two weeks. Phase one feels like a dance now, but struggling with a couple attacks in phase two. My goal is to beat her by Christmas.

Works in 1.13.2 (September 8th), just extremely precise.

Without that flurry attack shes not hard at all. mohg was the absolute easiest boss in my opinion

Usual rule of thumb for me is once she gets around 75% health comes her first water flow. Just like you I start to run to create distance. And at the last combo of her attack I’ll roll away. I just need to understand her little combos in phase one and know what my openings are.

This is a good guide. Immediately improved my play against her. Some of the punishes don’t work as well for me using a straight sword as they did in the vid using greatspear but still very helpful. Ps. She is extremely easy if you use spirit ash but on my current playthrough I’m not allowing myself to use any and I’m sure plenty of people do the same.

How do you even survive phase 2? I can reliably enter Phase 2 with 8-9 heals but she's insanely aggressive and those 9 heals are gone within less than a minute. Additionally, I cant punish her moves. She life steals back every damage I do to her. Phase 2 is at least 5x harder and im genuinely losing it now. I practically mastered phase 1, but phase 2 has to be the most insane thing.

What's great for me is using no armor and just two-handing a high bleed weapon, along with my +9 bloodhound knight floe. We just take turns attacking her so she's constantly staggered. Only drawback of course is she will obviously recover pretty quick but we can get a good 6000+ damage combo before she does her attacks. My issue is 2nd phase- because I can clear her first phase within a minute. Her damage is just so high and she can combo like half of her HP back when she's not even attacking me or my summon. She's just so much more aggressive for me than for any other tutorial I've watched.

You have mastered this fight. Respect One small thing - pretty sure Clone 1 and Clone 4 in her phase 2 ghost attack are the ones that have follow-up pokes

Just spam Blasphemous Blade's Ash of War, use Mimic Tear and pump your Faith stat to level 60. Your Mimic will take her aggro while you spam from a safe distance

I’m doing this with mimic +10 with rivers of blood and moon veil and I keep dying in the last part of the 2nd phase. My mimic dies then she does the water fowl dance to finish me off. It’s not even a fair chance

This guide is amazing ! Thank you for this . I have 1 Problem the 360 spin around and 2x roll . My detargeting Takes way too long Thats why my character is strafing too long until the move goes out i only made 180 degrees spin and then its almost game over for me.

Malenia has a grab attack that toss you upward and impale you.. how to evade that attack?
