To me, this is the ultimate generation of Jaguar XJ, especially because of the story and rarity. The story: Jaguar designed the engine bay of this generation (XJ40) specifically to NOT fit the Rover V8. They thought it would be inferior to their own 6 in line. But they feared that British Leyland, of which Jaguar had become a part, would make them use the V8 if it did fit. Because the V8 wouldn't fit the XJ40, the V12 also wouldn't fit. So to be able to still offer a V12 saloon, they kept making the Series 3 with that engine on the old production line, along side the new XJ40 until 1992. So 6 more years of the old model. They extended the Series 3 production run for longer than the total production time of the X350. Imagine having a car that first came out in 1968, still in the showroom in 1992, absolutely wild. For the last 2 years of XJ40 production, they redesigned the engine bay after all, to finally fit their V12. This was of course after British Leyland had gone bust. And then they wonder what happened to the british car industy.
Mate lubricate those door hinges. Attention to detail when you are selling motors at top price. Watch KGF CLASSICS videos as well much better than this two minute thing as you don’t show nothing of the car.
Hallo sir/mam, I want to talk about your TH-cam channel. I am involved in digital marketing. Your You Tube channel has many problems, and video SEO problem. because of which your videos are not reaching people. So I want to get to know you. and wants to try to solve the problem.
Nice 997.1. A small correction - a very small tiny amount of 997.1’s both the 3.6 in the standard Carrera and the 3.8 in the Carrera S suffered from minor bore scoring. They’ve all been fixed by now so make sure you have the relevant paperwork if they were attended to. Some of them Porsche contributed to the cost of the fix aswell. That being said once they’ve had the upgrade they don’t smoke at all and are a pretty solid engine
Had 2 x GSi Cavs & an Sri 130. They were epic. Just bought a v6 in drag (Calibra). That one is rare with aircon & sunroof. 1.8 though, company car tax saving special.
Vauxhall red was well known to fade in sunlight terribly. I had an 1989 1.4L, 1993 2.0GLS and a 1995 1.7TD LS. They had their faults, but they were decent at the time and a worthy challenger to the Ford Sierra.
Oh that's a beauty! We all know the XR3s and RS Turbos are the ones most lust after (and rightly so) so it's the lowly based models that are usually unloved and run into the ground. The L and GL models are now the rare ones, so to see one in such great condition is a treat! And, yeah, I have a soft spot for these as my second car (and the first one I actually paid for myself) was a Mk3 1.3 Ghia. Wonderful!
The car is clearly in great condition, but I'm not keen on the third gen 127's. IMO they lost the aesthetic appeal of the earlier cars, in no small part due to those particularly clumsy looking headlamp/indicator units. It would also have been useful to be informed of actual price because, "not expensive", doesn't tell us anything, and is very subjective.
im in love

Half about the car, half about the warranty. No prizes for guessing where the profits are...
