love the reverb guitar kicking in! I need to go thru your latest uploads, been missing them
This is one of my favorites, I never experienced a guitar played like this as if it's pouring its heart out to me. I enjoyed everything you worked on in Red Embrace. My top favorites would probably be waning and starless. I'm so glad I got hooked enough to look you up. Your channel feels like a haven, and I feel so lucky to be here. If you have a moment to indulge me. Every time I listen to the Red Embrace soundtrack I wonder how you were able to capture the mood of the characters and atmosphere. Your music helped me connect to the story deeply. Did you read the story or maybe drew inspiration from the art and scenery in the game? I'm just fascinated.
More than happy to indulge you My guitar playing is a result from listening to a lot of David Gilmour, Carlos Santana and Buckethead (Electric Tears especially) during my teens when I started with playing classical guitar. So being able to pour my heart out through the instrument was always my one big goal. I'm really happy you looked me up and connect to my work, thank you truly for that Argent games did a really good job communicating concepts and how things should feel, giving me context on the scenes this would be used on. I managed to see some artwork from sh00lace here and there, generally I was already a fan of their art before I got asked to make the soundtrack. So how it usually went was with a moodboard consisting of some images and keywords and then for some rounds of feedback. I played the full experience after the release date, but I'm bad at listening to my own work for a prolonged period of time I guess generally speaking when it comes to dark and grungy moods I have an easier time to manifest it through music

Happy you like them! It's more about the feeling of complete alienation in songs like these, the struggle of lack of direction and belonging

This is a great cover, I would like to critic a few things, direct covers of blues influenced songs are very iffy for me, given the origin of the blues. I would much rather you have done your own interpretation, I thought the reverb was an interesting choice, makes it sound like a sand cave or some kind enclosed area with a desert look. I thought the timbre of your instrument was brighter than the original song's instrument which I think took away from the grounded-ness of the more abrasive chords (in comparison to the original). I just think maybe if you could do a cover with your own personality added to it would be a great cover. I think the original for me encapsulates the feeling of not being understood or heard no matter how hard someone tries. yours, (to me) is more like wearing a glass bowl helmet and not being understood because of the glass.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. There's always a good chance I might go back to one or the other cover. "More of myself" is a nice idea I didn't consider for this one because it was all about the mood for me, a certain loneliness and tension. If there's a take 2 i'll post it under this comment. Cheers

YT is fickle but I don't believe in following an algorithm or playing the advertising game, people will stumble upon things meant for them inevitably and tell others about things they enjoy, all I want to do is create things that come from the heart.
