George Clinton – Why Should I Dog U Out? (1989)
George Clinton "Why Should I Dog U Out?" from 1989, see how many guest stars you can make out. It's a star studded video that I only saw once on MTV Europe. It's not the entire video, but almost.

She's truly a legend! What a versatile and multi-talented lady! ❤
I'm on the west coast and while people were listening to nwa back in the late 80s, I was more into BDP and KRS One.
Times were different then 💯
Dope 👍🏾
This new generation should not be able to add to the culture until they receive a history lesson on the origins of Hiphop
💥💯💥💯💥
I miss those days 🔥🔥🎤😎

Where did you get this???
I recorded this from cable TV back in the day. It's from a show called "Soul In The City", which was produced in Canada on MuchMusic and hosted by Michael Williams.
@ I’ve already sent it to Egerton 😝
I hope he smiles when he sees it. :)
@ he did. He’s probably sent it to Lennox too. I can’t wait for him to see me cover his raps lmao. Amazing that you uploaded this video. Egerton was just inducted into the Canadian boxing hall of fame!

I agree! ❤
She has that phenomenal unique voice!!!❤❤❤
James Brown should have been happy rappers sample his music he should have worked with them to get paid
I understood him. Back in those days, it was the wild west, so many people were ripped off when their music was sampled and they didn't get proper payment.

Very interesting to hear part of the Japanese track "Mass Communication Breakdown" (the "saitei no TV show" bit at 0:23) incorporated in the show intro. Did that single make much impact in Europe? th-cam.com/video/IVJDJUUIUP0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IusRcRihE9o1kILF
I asked Sophie Bramly and she replied to me "During the summer before the launch of the show, the president of MTV Europe went to Japan and I asked him to look for Japanese hip-hop. I wasn’t sure there was any, but I wanted to have something that would imply that hip-hop was truly a worldwide phenomenon (and easier for me than some European language, because why chose one and not the others). I was lucky enough that he found this one, which I like and still have somewhere in my collection. But the records was never a hit in Europe, and I’m not sure it was even released…"
@funkyflyy thank you for asking her! :)
