How do you calibrate model 110.28002012? My sister moved from down south. Never had a problem with it. I said I would take it since my other Kenmore washing machine drum was tilted and every spin cycle it was knocking and making all kinds of loud noises. I think my model 110.28002012 has been knocked around during the moving phase. Just need to recalibrate it!!! Help please! It can't be this hard or else we need to boycott Kenmore and call them out on the 7pm news!
Cool video. Same motor I'm working with trying to solve a bad washer. Hope it's not the motherboard. I did see that the start capacitor would stop the motor from being able to start under a load. Did you at least try replacing the capacitor? On mine it will hum like the motor is trying to turn for a second and then it would stop. I bridged my start capacitor to kill the electricity in it and there was no arcing. So I'm thinking it was bad. I'm going to try replacing it and then run it through Diagnostics again. Wish me luck.
@@R.Akerman-oz1tf ended up finding a set of wires that came together along the under frame and were joined by a clear crimped connector. They were burned/corroded. Cleaned them up and works great.
I have this one too ! I HATE IT ! Have to was my black work pants 3 time because it doesn’t fill with much water and I have splotches of soap on clothes ( 2 &3 times are just rinse and spin ) with no soap Sometimes some clothes never even get wet 😡

I’m gonna try that! About two weeks before this happened I noticed water in the front right corner of the tray it sits on. Praying that is the problem and draining it will fix it. My aunt said they have to be drained occasionally.

found the fix: move washer to the back door, place right foot on washer kick off the deck, Go to the Goodwill buy old school have it fixed and do away with the problem

I have a motor that looks exactly like the one you have, (I didn't check the model #). What about the cap? On mine there is a cap across the red/yellow. I assumed it would be white = neutral, then red and yellow to cap, with one of the 2 being high, and the other being low, (or maybe both together being high??? Nice to see yours fire up nicely...
Thanks for the video, I have the same motor, I can get it to spin in one direction, but when I move the power lead to the third terminal it does nothing. Your video confirmed that my motor is bad. I've been searching the Web and have found no help until now. Thanks again for posting.
Same exact issue here.... Im a welder/mechanic so always try to fix before buying new. After hours of research I stumbled on a video that shows how to bypass the lid lock. You open the top panel, unscrew the locking mechanism and dis-assemble it to remove a small metal blade spring from the bottom of the assembly. From all the comments in that vid it seems to do the job. I just did this modification and cleaned lubed the whole switch mechanism. Removed the actual switch from top of lid and inserted it into the latch so lid could be opened while running. I just started machine now and the lid lock switch flashed for about 5 minutes after sensing. We will see how it goes and i will report back. I found a vid before for these machines that explain how to get it to report fault codes but never could find a list for what light flash codes mean what. Sadly just bought a rebuilt old school whirlpool last night off craigslist with an actual agitator and old mechanical switches so if this doesnt work i will use that. Done with these HE washers. Will only use old whirlpools or speedqueens after this one goes out. Could be actuator motor too needing replaced...we will see
Forgot to mention.... after the lid lock modification, the lid locked switch flashed for 5 minutes but is now filling with water. This machine was stopping at the spin/drain cycle so fingers crossed. If it doesnt work i may try the actuator motor replacement or might just install the old style whirlpool i just bought last night that was locally repaired with 30 day warranty that i picked up for $140

no. BAsic motor right out of the box. This matched up exactly to what I had installed.

Did you try to unplug leave unplugged for 30 seconds to one minute and then plug back in?
