interesting choice for the top. Definitely looks like it was originally a vinyl hard top, but at some point got removed and they just painted that section white. Should either remove those trim pieces entirely and paint match it or add the black/white vinyl (which i highly suggest). My '66 GT doesn't have power steering/brakes either, but it's only an arm workout at rolling speeds. i'd much rather have power brake system.

Congrats! How stiff is the rear compared to the non AEV? I had the 2021 just ordered the new AT4X AEV. Also, how is the engine sound on the 6.6? My 2021 dramax had a bit of a valve knocking sound when idling after like 3k miles. Did they fix that? Thanks!

the 2barrel 289 would have been 200hp, the 4barrel would be 225. I didn't get a good look when he opened the air cleaner, but keep in mind power to weight ratio - these cars were light and the small V8 in a light car was pretty quick! Look at the Cobras, Tigers, etc that were small cars that used 289's - deadly fast!

All original??? 1:37 into the video I see aftermarket wheels, weird cowl vent cover, incorrect antenna and the roof has been painted a different color from the body. The chrome vinyl top moldings are a dead giveaway that this car probably had a vinyl top originally. 😂😂😂😂 I shall now press play and continue this hilarious video.

I have restored classic Mustangs for 40+ years. The way you check for bondo is put a strong magnet in a sock. Then drag it around on the car. The sock prevents and scratches in the paint. If the magnet finds bondo, it won't stick. It will fall off the car. Old school way of thinking. Works on any year, make or model of car that is metal.
