Der normale Bürger will keinen Krieg, er muss erst davon überzeugt werden, dass ihn jemand bedroht und ihm seinen Wohlstand streitig machen will, erst dann kann man ihm eine Waffe in die Hand drücken und in den Kampf gegen einen "Feind" schicken der eigentlich auch keinen Krieg will. Das Prinzip ist uralt und funktioniert immer wieder.

    11:45 interesting i did not know that and never thought about it. I was using the crossrope during the whole of winter (in germany) and did not notice a difference in the rope or had it break. but i was probably more focused to get warm and don't slip. Only the handles got a bit rusty, but if i had taken care of them properly that might not have happend. Always interesting to see what other people think about the cross rope. So far it's my favorite rope though i still think it is too expensive.

    • @heikokuehr
      @heikokuehr ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Diana! Was die Griffe wiegen kann ich dir leider auch nicht sagen - nur dass sie keine Gewichte eingebaut haben wie andere (billigere Springseile). Dafür sind sie wertig solide, verarbeitet und widerstehen langem Dauertraining. Allerdings muss ich dir auch sagen, dass ich nach längerer Verletzungspause dann doch mit meinem Set von Crossrope weitergemacht habe. Ich persönlich finde die Ergonomie besser, abgerundet vorn, dort wo das Seil befestigt wird und der Mechanismus zum Befestigen des Seiles ist einfach besser gemacht. Auch ist der Mechanismus etwa 0,5 cm kürzer wodurch das Seil dichter Rchtung Hand rotiert was geringere Hebelkräfte zum Resultat hat. Ich hoffe ich konnte weiterhelfen.

    Excellent review! Not sure about your handles, I actually don't have the sticky problem at all. One question, I mostly jump with the 1 lbs rope , do you really think it actually builds muscle, I know there is some debate about that in the community .

    • @heikokuehr
      @heikokuehr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rollie, thank you for your kind feedback. I haven't had the issue with the sticky handles anymore - it seems it was my eager use of oil, probably. When it comes to muscle building... I know there is a debate. I actually think that by using weighted ropes you get definitely stronger and your core muscles will be uses, stressed much more than by using light weight ropes only. For building muscles you need to do heavy lifting or at least some hard calisthenics. For getting lean and building all your muscles more complex and complete I think it is a good and intense way to do it - still expecting to become "massive" would be wrong. I hope you understand what I mean.

    • @heikokuehr
      @heikokuehr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I started jumping rope, I used a speedrope too, fortunately it came with a very thin rope and a slightly thicker one - I used the thicker one because I had the same issue. After purchasing the weighted ropes I noticed that due to the higher weight of the rope I had better feedback from the rope which resulted in less tripping. Simply because you know exactly where the rope is in its position around you. Same for crossover jumps - straight much better, less tripping and more control. At least that is my experience. Please note I'm NOT payed by Crossrope to tell you that. Just saying. If you consider buying - look for offers outside crossropes website, sometimes you might find a really good one and you can safe some money. Good luck!

    Thanks for your review. I have the Get Strong set and two months into using the 1lb rope i still haven't dared unpack the 2lb monster yet! The upper body and arms strength benefits of using the 1lb rope are noticeable and i'm very pleased with the progress to date. The handles are a little uncomfortable, but they need to be that shape in order to support the wrists. Using heavy ropes you need your thumb wrapped around the handle - ie a strong grip. Also, i think you would benefit from shorter ropes (the medium size would probably be more suitable). Cost wise these ropes are expensive, but if you're using them regularly they pay for themselves in no time at all. Having watched your review i'm going to treat myself to the Get Lean set soon.

      Hi Tony, thank you for your feedback! I absolutely agree on what you said about the thick handles, a bit bulky but needed to control the heavier ropes, and on your thoughts about the size for a short guy like me, 176 cm. I'm still using size "Large" ropes but I wish I could try the medium sized for once - don't dare to order yet, since it's still COVID insanity and those don't fit into my "most needed items spending list" right now. LOL I think you'll be pleased with the slim handles, they are very comfy and just perfect in shape. I wish you lots of progress and fun with your workouts!

    Hi Great video, I've just purchased the same set. I'm really looking forward to using them as a fitness tool, as an older beginner. I watched another video about these crossrope handles. Even without you adding the extra oil, they can get sticky if they are stored in place thats too warm ect. The suggestion was to store them not touching. It wasn't your fault, re oiling them. Others have had this problem without oiling them. Another suggestion was to wipe them down each time after use. I don't know if this is of any help. Yes, a dissapointment for such costly jump ropes. I agree being able to add weights in the handles would have been great, again especially at this price point. Most of the cheaper jump ropes offer this option. Hopefully, this can be factored in, on an upgrade in the future.

    • @heikokuehr
      @heikokuehr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Prinzipiell macht du mit beiden keinen Fehler. Everjump sieht, wie ich finde besser aus, Crossrope liegt (durch die Daumenmulde) besser in der Hand und ist am rotierenden Stift kürzer, 0,5 cm, was zu geringerer Hebelwirkung führt und bei schwereren Seilen das handling angenehmer macht. Ich selbst tendiere zu Crossrope (auch wenn das in Richtung Hype geht - ist aber ehrlich)

      Hi Albert - I'm really happy to read about your progress and the fact that you fell in love with jumping rope. If you are in doubt, you can just buy the smallest set or even buy handles and rope separately. I start always my workouts with the green rope, 1/4LB and then the 1/2LB - if I'll do more I use the 1 LB, but not often due to a screw in my left arm (surgery from 2009) which might cause problems sometimes. Anyway, I think you'd be on the safe side if you just buy two ropes and build up from there. Don't forget to check the internet (amazon, ebay) for cheap offers. Good luck and keep on skipping!

    What’s the point of interchangeable handles if u have to buy for heavier ropes / I c the point for the seller they make more money

    • @heikokuehr
      @heikokuehr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, actually you don't need to buy different handles for heavier or lighter ropes. If you are happy with the slim handles - you are fine. Still for larger hand sizes I think the thicker handles might be more comfy. The two different types of handles are inside their sets - I think that indicates to use the slim ones for those 3 more light weight ropes (still 3 different ropes) and the larger handles for the more heavier ones (2 ropes) If you'd buy one pair of handles and feel comfy with them you can use ALL ropes with that one - regardless the weight. O course if you want to look at those two different handles from a negative point of view - you could think it's made for more business. Still, I'd say Crossrope offers two different shaped handles for different hand sizes.

      @@heikokuehr ok so I could say buy handgrips with the lighter rope set ,then could order the heavier ropes on their own with no handles?

    • @heikokuehr

      @@BobBob-uv9fq Yes, exactly. You can buy everything separately if you want or you just by the smallest set, and build up from there. Don't forget to check the free market, google search and amazon - often you'll find good offers there.

      Glad to hear it was helpful! This is what I told Tiantian when she got her rope. If you've never been jumping before, first fix the length, focus on the right position of your arms and keep in mind not jumping to high. Then start jumping. Try to breath like you'd go on a run. Only jump until you fail 10 times and stop. By doing this you avoid frustration. Try again after a day rest. She managed to get from 11 jumps to almost 100 in two weeks. Don't forget to warm up before jumping and to stretch after! Good luck

    Thank you very much for a great review! I'm going to buy a set. Any take on rushathletics's rope?

    • @heikokuehr
      @heikokuehr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad if I can contribute in decision making. I've seen the RushAthletic's rope, I mean the weighted one, but haven't seen it in real yet. What I don't like is that the handle flairs out towards the end, that's my personal opinion of course. And the "exchange-system" seems like the same type as Everjump is using, which works fine but there are two minor issues with that: 1. the entire construction is about 1 cm longer from the front of the handle to the start of the rope which is changing the geometry...., and puts more stress on ones forearm (I have Everjumps set here and Crossropes and use both to compare) 2. After several month's of testing both systems, huff, I must admit...., Crossropes clip-system is clear the better one. It is easier to handle when in stress in short interval workouts and makes less noise and puts less stress on your forearms.

      Perfect, in this case you save a lot of money and that's good for you. The purpose of my video was btw. not to sell anything here - I don't earn money on my channel - the purpose was to tell ppl my experience and to help them to make a decision wether or not they should buy. I have been using a 18,- rope for a long time and was super happy with it and I know many jump rope ppl who use ropes in that price range for their workouts and to learn tricks - that's personal preference. Enjoy your workouts!

      You're going to get bored with a $10 rope if you're not already. The ropes ARE professional grade that are easy to use AND challenging at the same time, especially the weighted ropes 3/4lb and above. I know the price is steep, but the experience, function, and the effects the rope have on your body, makes them very awesome ropes you will quickly get over the price, once you give yourself 1.5 months to try out.
