The ONLY Fishing Knot You Need to Know How to Tie! The Uni Knot
In this video I discuss and demonstrate step by step how to tie the uni knot. I discuss how you can use the uni knot as a loop knot replacement and a double uni knot as a line to line knot instead of the Alberto or FG knots. I truly believe the uni knot to be the best and only fishing knot you need to learn.

Penn Battle III 3 vs Penn Spinfisher IV Spinning Reel Comparison
มุมมอง 47K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey guys, I just wanted to post a quick video, just really talking about the three main differences that truly are the only part that really matter when it comes to comparing the pen battle three, versus the pin spend Fisher six. And really it's the there's one feature that I think is really the one that matters when it comes to these. I've been doing a bunch of research because they're so simi...

มุมมอง 2.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey guys just wanted to do a quick fishing report for the garden city beach area. So the pier at garden city, garden, city beach, and then the creeks and marshes kind of around garden city and also in murals and lit a little bit. So I was there a few weeks ago, fishing out on the pier with my son. He really wanted to go to the pier. So I kinda got a good taste of what was biting out there and t...

Dont you hate when they install too small of a gutter you have no room to work. 6” would be the right size to that problem. Anybody reading this text you need a 6 inch Gutter.
I've had my spinfishers for over 10yrs they're still going strong with little to no maintenance.
A blower does a better job.
Nice lookin setups you have there. What rods are those?
Soon ill be visiting sc . Im from pensylvania and i would like to go fishing for few hrs would you like to show me where to fish
I feel like the liveline 2500 might be pretty good if you're fishing for trout. Especially if they're finicky
What is the actual weight difference?
Very helpful. Thank you. I’ll be down this week kayak fishing and I really needed some direction.
Red Drum
The spinfisher are the way to go, for about 125-160 get a decent reel that will last for years if you take care of it. Nowadays(2024), wtf is a $100? Not much. as I write this Amazon is closing out the spinfisher 6 and I picked up a 6500 for $125 and the 3500 for $106. Bargains.
I have spinfisher vi 4500 would you use that for bass fishing
Yes
3500 for bass. Spinfisher I use for strippers
@@kencleg7721 is it fine to run even though it’s spinfisher
Great review!
Looking at the creek the runs parallel to the bridge heading into Garden City, what is the best method to fish this creek? Do you think the bend in the creek nearest the pier is productive? Coming to GC the end of May/Early June
We went down to the North Inlet area on our boat, but wasn’t sure of the depth so didn’t risk it. Any idea of how deep it is?
Hi .. enjoyed the video...my i ask what rods are those?
You know, the sealed reels are awesome. IP Ratings are great but in all honesty Penn and some others have been around for decades prior to this Rating nonsense and those reels have held up great (provided they were cared for and maintained) even when dropped in the water. Let’s keep it 100 and say fishing has been around A LONG TIME, how many reels have gotten wet or dunked and afterwards cleaned up and continued to work as long as they weren’t complete cheap pieces garbage. So yeah it’s great for being rated but really is it worth paying more? Not my hard earned money.
I'm going to surfside first week of May. I have a 9ft med heavy 30lb braid with 30lb fluro leader fish finder and carolina rigs. Plan to fish out front my condo every morning and evening as well into the night. Or am I wasting my time fishing the surf there and at night in May
It’s still a lot of work.
6 is VI====i have 3 4500 and 2 5500 spinfishers. one battle 2 6000. i like the spinfishers better. the battle 2 has holes in the spool which allows water and sand to get in. i have to be more careful with it.
amazon and walmart has the Penn 2 Battle 4000 for $56 or $65 , on sale now, which is a sweet deal
Live-Liners are brilliant! Now changed all my fixed spools over to the Live-Liner spec. Both Penn and Shimano do Live-Liners but the Penns are better, in my opinion! The LL feature is brilliant when using small livebaits and allows the fish to run with the bait before you tighten into it. Hookup rates are better and it gives you more confidence in leaving the rod in the holder, waiting for a fish to take.
I’ve got both. Amazing reels, Fierce is great as well
That's it throw her in jail for life
Was it yuuuuge?
Yuuuge I tell ya
A tip I have is getting some light wire leader material and making up your own snelled hook. It's less hardware, instead of connecting your bare hook straight to a swivel.
Where is this where you are fishing?
What time of year is this?
Learn how to disassemble, clean, and lube your reels at the end of the day and it won't matter.
Great video. Was wondering how deep the water is near the jetty inlet....by the condos.... the line of rocks. I did a little scuba around the turn last time I went there. Looks like there might be some fish there at slack tide. I've dove jetties lots in CA. How deep is it from the rock jetty to the big ocean entrance? Thanks for the info. as I can find very little. Brian Xavier
so the spinfisher or the battle 3 ???
This was one of the most helpful video thank you
I have a Penn spinfisher 4500, penn fierce 3 5000 and just ordered a 6000 penn battle 3 I just clean all of my reels after use and use reel lube
I just noticed, the big 12ft penn rod with your longcast spinner on it is actually a conventional rod. I was looking for this carnage rod and saw the model number on your video and it shows it as a conventional….lol. Anyway, i’m glad you are still able to cast long distance with it. Like the video btw. Thanks
This live liner reel is perfect for drifting a live bait or crab behind the boat while you cast artificial. It’s also perfect for trolling. You have 4 settings on the live liner drag for the resistance trolling causes. It has its place on my boat.
I’m an pretty new/inexperienced fisherman. Where would you reccomend to go fishing in DeBordiue.
coming down the 17-21 to pawleys whats the easiest access? as ill have a kid with me
The spinfisher would have gotten an ipx6 rating but the live liner had an area that couldn't be sealed completely so to save confusion they just gave them all ipx5
The spinfisher 6000 and up have brass gears
My spinfisher 8000 vi winched in a 9.5 sturgeon in heavy current
live liner is a kick ass feature, i used it all the time. this simpleton has not understood what baitrunners are for at all.
I’ve caught a handful of 5’+ sharks… Took way too long for that small of a fish. Definitely milking it for the camera
I dont get the live liner function, its a spinning reel, you cast out and reel in. So the live liner will disengage as soon as you start the retrieve
Great if using circle hooks on bait. Let the fish swallow the bait and when it swims away the tension will set the hook in the corner of its mouth. No need to set the hook by yanking the rod
@@rickbold9337 it would be set on minimum drag, so no it won't lodge the hook until you wind the reel to switch it off and engage your preset drag tension.
Love live liners, baitfeeder ...
Well bud lol I can throw a 100 yards every trip 😊
The battle is said to be a saltwater reel says penn
Battle 3 isn't sealed at all, there's literally no seals anywhere apart from on the top of the spool. Any water spray will go straight into the gearbox.
Does the box or reel state what country it was made in?
Hey Mack! Kentucky boy here...so not much knowledge on coastal fishing. Im heading to Debordieu next week and getting married next weekend there. I'm definitely going to hit up Alligator Alley to try to reel in some largemouth bass. Ok to use typical soft plastics? What would you recommend? Thanks!
Congrats Mitchell! My wife and I got married here almost 20 years ago. It’s a beautiful venue. I reel in the large mouth all day long on Crankbait here. Baby bass and bluegill lookalikes. 2-4’ dive depth. My buddies have had plenty of luck on soft plastics: swimbaits and large worms, as have I on occasion. Hit up the ponds on Monday when the course is closed. Just about every pond here is stocked up with some hogs! Tight lines! 🎣
Wow. Big fish
Raised right
Definitely special moment with these kids and the dad
