Congrats
Thanks! These lenses are game changers for me 🙌🏿
I'm curious if you want to punch in closer on the lenses using close-up diopters would help without ruining the image. Something I need to experiment myself.
🤔hmmmm I’ve never heard of that. I need to look into that and test it out. 2025 is starting off great with this comment 👏🏿 thanks
@@antwanbankswilliams Diopters usually come in a kit of 4 or more with different macro strengths. Just find one filter size and use step up rings to adapt to lenses.
As a filmmaker having anamorphic lenses is a special thing
It’s really is man! The flares add so much character and the width is incredible.
Clockwise mf 😂😂☠️
I have the 24mm and the 50mm SIRUI lenses. I’m starting to get the hang of it.
That’s a great start! Keep at it! I will be sharing what I can do with those lenses soon 🙌🏿
First tip is golden didnt know this!
Man it’s the little things that’s makes a world of distance
I have the Sirui Nightwalker lens and I use it on my R8 full frame. I have to set it on Crop Mode in my menu to prevent the vignette issues.
I have that lens as well. I haven't used it in crop mode. I will soon to see what the lens can actually do. I also have an a7iii, and it might work well with that lens. I will for sure make some content on that.
Seriously valuable information here.
@@heroicvision absolutely. We gotta be clear on what we are investing in
Newly subscribed. Great content and you got me laughing while you trying to explain which direction is clockwise. I was recently filming short films and music videos on several smartphones ( Samsung Galaxy phones) completely rigged out using DOF adapters and external lenses using pro equipment for my TH-cam channel. I recently jumped in to mirrorless camera world so I bought 3 Canon cameras, the Canon R7 , R8 and the M50 ( M50 as a car mount).
lol thanks for the sub. Man, I was genuinely trying to be clear on which way to turn that damn ring, lol. But I def want to check out some of your work.
Great scenes, keep it up. wtf with algorithms? previous video few thousands of views and this nothing.
I know, right? 😂I did post this at like 12am 🤷🏿♂️ there is so much to getting exposure. But I will definitely keep up with the work.
@antwanbankswilliams From me, personally: don't hesitate making video longer. Maybe you can compensate with faster paced montage. Your style on rather slow side, probably not everyone have patience to watch such calm and slow breakdowns, but for me it's totally fine. The quality and number of insights is a priority for sure.
Thank you so much for this. I will definitely start making content that feels complete. Maybe on a color grading video while still making some faster pace montage shorter videos. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.
Not aspiring, YOU ARE! You've got this.
Appreciate that my friend. 💯I still struggle with imposter syndrome ya know
Great break down video man 🔥 that lil scene in the beginning was very good. My only question is why shoot that second shot from that angle, where the antagonist looks to the right instead of the left. Since your first shot of the protagonist is also looking to the right.Does it break the 180 rule ? Maybe it’s a stylist approach to create more tension or maybe you just wanted to shoot the side w more shadow but just curious. Also my for my personal opinion, my critique is that 3rd shot of him moving closer and stops, since you already did the same shot in the beginning but just a lil tighter. Idk I wish that he didn’t stop in the first shot and just walked up or just stood still that 3rd shot idk this all just personal preference. Anyways great video man looking forward to more 🔥
Man, I really love this comment!!! The funny thing is that second shot I actually did a full six minute breakdown of it. I just didn’t want this video to be too long so I took it out.🤦🏿♂️ but you are absolutely right. I shot the antagonist two different ways one being where he is facing the opposite direction and the opposite side of the frame, but the composition and the lighting was so bad so I guess you can say it was a stylistic choice, but not a choice that I would ever encourage others to do and I probably wouldn’t make that same choice again for myself in my breakdown, I talked about moving the location of the subject as a remedy to the bad composition shot. But you are spot on my friend and I actually think I will post the rest of that scene and I’d love to get all of your thoughts.
Did you use a camera operator for some of the shots at the end? That was terrific
No camera operator. I did have a small jib, sliders and pan head that was being controlled remotely 🙏🏿💯🙌🏿. Is there anything you like to see on my channel?
@antwanbankswilliams thats insane pal. Nicely done. More lighting stuff is always fun. Getting into the "lighting spaces, not faces"concept myself. Always helpful to see how other people approach it since there's no one right answer
you are a good man.
Man my friend really is 🙏🏿
What happened next? was there any response or interest?
Yes!!! He was able to raise 5k and he bought him another car 🙌🏿
Love the use of sound to portray tension and movement to take us closer and then away from the subject as we discover who he really is
ABSOLUTELY!!! I’m going to make a video on how I create music for my short pieces. It’s do play a vital role
Hi Antwan! Just wanted to stop by and thank you for this video. I’ve a prawny TH-cam channel and this summer I started making videos about my art and fantasy map-making attempts. Your comment about movements and intention is something that I’ve never thought about before - so thank you so much for sharing and for creating this video! Also, in addition to depth, movement, and lightning I would also add music. (It’s not part of the filming process, of course, but it’s something that I think some people miss sometimes.) Maybe you can make a separate video about that? It would be interesting to watch. Cheers and once again thanks for a great video! 😺
Oh man!🙏🏿🫡 thank you so much. I’m so glad you got something from my channel. I really appreciate you taking time to comment. It really means the world to my 🙏🏿 please let me know if you’d like to see me cover something specific in a future video.

😂 Yeah, Get it Bro. I frequently run 6 Cameras for event, but I feel you here… I took a few months to play out scenarios in my head after each shoot. 2 Zooms, 5 Primes, 1 Vintage & 2 Anamorphic lenses later 😂 I actually have my perfect set.

Good looking bro
Dope video man! Keep up the great work
Will do! Lmk if there is something that you'd like me to cover or breakdown
Simple and informative for a beginner ❤ thanks please keep posting these kinda videos ❤
Thank you! Will do!
Nice and very informative ❤
Glad you think so!
Yo, I shoot Event worldwide but housed in Atlanta. I stumbled across your channel, good stuff here Bro. I saw the view count versus your subscriber count… I like the way you slow the explanations down for people to get what you are saying. Start asking for your viewers to Subscribe in every video, they eating up your content but not subscribing as would make sense from the high view count. Keep up your pace 🔥praying for your Success man.
Good looking family. Check out my latest video lol. I think I did what you suggested
Hey thanks for making this video following my suggestion! I took notes and applied a few things in my latest video uploaded yesterday and it was great. Audio topics next time? As I go through different shots (with an external mic being placed closest to me as possible), the sound level and environent echo shifts. There's an audio difference between talking scenes and b-rolls with voiceover also... it's so hard to achieve a consistent, leveled audio quality as you change shots.
Oh man I glad it helped. I will check your video out and see how I can assist. Keep up the amazing work
bro keep it up i love your content bro

gotcha. one other question, are you doing more indoor filming or outdoor?
