I have run the Rubicon four times and a lot of trails in between from Johnson Valley to Moab. I've wanted to run the Dusy for a long time and get a buddy or two to go along. Thanks for posting this trip, it looked like you guys had a great time.
nice video. I'm traveling up there next weekend from Arizona and was planning to do the "short" section. From what I can tell you go back out the same way you went in? also, know if a 2dr JK with 3" lift and 35s be able to do it without a winch?
We started at Courtwright and finished at the north end. Both Jeep's ran it with 35's but I wouldn't recommend running it without a winch or by yourself. It's tough.
@@craigsanderson1972 so sorry to hear that!! Mine is being handed down to my oldest son. Now that I have a lazy man's jeep (jk on tons and 40s) it just felt right to let willys go to my kid for him and his family to enjoy
Wow, this has got to be one of the best filmed solo off-roading videos I've seen. And holy shit, your FL leaf spring mount weld failed and you got out by securing it in place with a chain?
Just wanted to say I'm digging the Yota axles!! My buddies kid has an old Flatty with Yota drivetrain and axles, 22RE etc etc. Way way cool man!! And if my Grandpa Art saw me say that he'd probably shoot me 😂😂
It's been about 15 year since my last visit to that trail. Took my parents stock 2003 Ford Supercrew 4x4. I did not get that far (I know my limits) but it was definitely a lot of fun.
Was the LJ locked in the rear?
Awesome highlight reel. Looks like it finally dried out and you guys had a great time.
Great video and sweet Jeep. Curious what springs you are using? Stock frame?

Nice job guys. What size tires was the LJ running? Were there any breakdowns?
35" tires. No breakdowns this time.

Hopefully the trails and forests open back up Friday

NICE TUNES! i like that old cherokee too
Where's the willys?
Sadly, the frame couldn't handle the crawling any more. I had to retire it and built the 4runner instead.

Listening to that XJ squeaking and creaking down the trail reminds me of the way the tanks sound in WWII movies
Favorite video so far! Love some of those incredible drone shots and playback speed variations. And way to get some mud on the tires ;)
One of the nicest looking and visually beautiful videos I've seen of the Rubicon. Well done.
Cool video. Only thing missing is an XJ…
We definitely missed you!

Have you ever wished you had carried a spare tire? I would love to dump mine and lose the weight of it.
Thank you...
Great video!! Love the Rubicon video as well!! I subbed!
Nice video guys looks like a really fun trip
Want to go back to Maui in January but worried it would be rainy that time of year, looks like you had great weather
Your Jeep is awesome! ❤️ nice video shoots!

Try a version with just a little more upbeat music. I think it would be great. Just a idea.
Nice rig!
Thank you
More videos need to be less talk and more rocks.
Nice! My wife and I got up there earlier this summer. Spectacular views! Nice vid!
