THE CAT 374 EXCAVATOR!
มุมมอง 254หลายเดือนก่อน
Hey everyone. I was very excited to be able to get to this CAT 374 excavator. It's such a cool machine and a massive machine. the size alone requires 4 trucks just to move it. Its spent most its life in a phosphate mine but considering that its still in good shape. Hope Y'all enjoy. #caterpillar #catequipment #heavyequipment #excavator #374 #digger #heavymachinery #trucking #dirt

Looks like a piss poor service department, tighten those tracks up
Who else skipped to the end first? Hahahaha
Nice where can i buy this bumper
I went to the dealer. I looked at them. They’re pretty cool. They look easy to work on. I just don’t know anybody that swears by them
Root rake?
I think it's just a 6 way dozer blade.
@RELAXwithNATURE954 tabs on top of the blade
If you think these trucks are anything but ugly, I don't know what to say to you
I remember when these came out, it was a huge thing but yea, i only seen like 3 in real world
That looks like an older model of the 716. They have a updated version of the 716 with more hp and a little bit more weight to it.
cat wanted to be king just another thing to wear cat brand as with other things cat just big loaders big dozers graders and mine trucks only things realy cat
nothing but problems for cat no resale parts too pricey nobody can fix that i know didnt sell very well if they were good cat would build them all on that pricipal
I always had heard they had wiring harness issues and that to me would be the worst. Back in the day I worked for a fleet that ran Internationals with allision automatic's, a few of them developed the bad habit of downshifting from high to low intermittently, Both dealers just pointed the finger at each other, I had to park them and when I had a little time I would drive one with the laptop on it, finally I caught the fact the trans was losing its speed signal input ,to make a long story short I rolled the dice and replaced the engine harness to the Ecm and that repaired all of them ,Id rather be lucky than good ,Regards
Navistar hired a bunch of ex-GM exec's about that time
Your fired
Damn
I think there wasn’t a dam. That’s the problem
How many tons did you deduct for mud
@ how many tons did I add? Well I took the average weight and multiplied it by 3 then dived by mud pi carried the remainder and then added the weight of failure for my total.
We had a 13' model and it was really pretty good up until this year. It needed a transmission and that was a disaster to get. Ever since it was replaced it been one thing after another.
They are a nice size machine
German Beast
I thought Cat quit making truck engines because of emission regulations tightening?
We have one and it’s spent its whole life pushing dirt. I’ll tell you this thing is a true monster and has needed little it’s a super slept on dozer
Hello, was this filmed at the Liebherr Equipment Source store in North Carolina?
Yes it was. Good eye.
Do u like the old cat what a girl got to get a cat hat the only dozer u said it all 1300revs push a town down if it ain’t got cat on it walk on by lol
Ran a Liebherr 736 for about a year and absolutely loved it. Tons of power, very well balanced, cab being able to flip up came in handy once. Dealer by us always had great support.
Does CAT even sell engines anymore? All this emissions, and DEF garbage means more and more older trucks will be rebuilt and rebuilt. Its gonna be the Cubification of cars and trucking if this keeps on going this way. Learn how to weld and fab...
CAN YOU DO A VIDEO ON CASE DOZER
Yes would like to. Need to find one.
There is a aftermarket company that puts a sleeper and everything needed for otr trucking on these. Ive seen a couple with actual cat motors swapped in. Also fun fact, last month we had a glitch with our cat E.T software that when ever we would update or wipe the ecm on any C7.1 and up engine it would replace it with the ecm data for the CT13 Cat trucks. It took me atleast 3 hours to find out why a xq230 wouldnt start because its 5th wheel was unlocked before i realized it was a cat et problem.
I don't see anything about International on that door tag...🤔
We got a 924 on a breaker in our quarry what a pile of crap spends more time parked up waiting for repair than working 11hrs battery was knackered constantly flagging up adblue faults rather pay the extra n get a decent machine not these temu crap
If it weren’t for navistar defense international would have gone belly up 20 years ago
Can't watch this enough
Thanks!!
1:35 skip to here.
Worst truck I’ve ever driven in my entire career. In the handful of months I drove it I honestly don’t think I went through an entire day without some sort of issue.
Shes pretty!
I've had mine for a year now. Just the right size machine.
Heavy Haul Ct660 CT-15 CX35 autom automatic transmission. 1100 rpm engine pulled 💪 strong! Needed 4:11 finals... was struggling on hills loaded. Lots of wiring issues..speedometer cuts out.. lights stay on .. International ruined Fords truck line, then they ruined CATS ! 😂.. I wouldn't buy one🤦. And you couldn't give me one! Junk truck. I tried it but didn't like it!
Great video!! My dad had a construction business, and I and my brother were running dozens at the age of 10. It's super cool to grow up with toys like these. Thank you for sharing. I gave this video a thumbs up and subscribed. 😊
Thanks so much! I really do appreciate it.
@@theIronmerchant question! Is your company located in Prineville, Oregon? I live in the Portland, Oregon area. So cool to know you could be in the same region.
originally a Volvo
Can you do a d5 video? Explaining the models? I love my d5b and love n's and g's. Huge difference in each.
I need to do one on the D5 for sure. I want to talk about how the D5 became the new D3. It’s on my list. Thanks for watching!
Love that truck!!!
The engines were from Navistar, transmissions were CAT which supposedly are superior to Allison. There was plans in 2014 for Caterpillar to build their own design trucks in Victoria, TX with a CAT designed 15 liter, never to be named. The plan almost overnight was shut down, i’m sure sales numbers played a key in this. It was far enough along plans were shared with dealers.
Not sure how i missed this one! LOOOOONG BOOOOOM! Great vid!!!!
When you order a new CAT motorgrader, you can order it the two ways, with joystick control or with traditional steering wheel and levers control. Always has been this way.
cool dash
I always thought it was interesting that CAT came out with this around the same time that they decided to stop making on-highway engines because of emissions regulations. Which kind of came back to bite them because off-highway was soon forced to adopt the stricter emission standards that on-highway had to. Which has always made me wonder why they didn't get back into on-highway engine making. There are millions of trucks with CAT engines in them hauling stuff all over the world. I find it hard to believe that the on-highway engine division of the company wasn't making good money.
The on highway tuck manufacturers that installed Cat engines started making their own engines.
@philipward7846 Naw. Paccar is the only one who started making their own engine (and inferior at that). Cummins was always there. Volvo/Mack were already there. Detroit was already there. Mercedes/Freightliner was already there. Navistar already there. CAT thought they would be able to make off-highway indefinitely without Tier 4 final. Which for the longest time, was just for on-highway. They didn't expect the off-highway regs and so they pulled out of on-highway. PLENTY of customers would option a CAT over an OEM or Cummins engine. They just gave up on that segment too soon and I think it has bit them in the butt.
Interesting thing about the ct engines they were a cat block with international everything else
These trucks around the same time as their cat branded Locomotive.
Needs Sandy interior plastics like the H series 👌
We love this truck too! 🤩 That one is in spectacular shape!
2012 and 2011 was hard years for cat. you gotta give them credit, though they realize there was a problem and they got the heck out of there
CAT agreed to only build vocational trucks that would not compete with Navistar highway truck sales. Customers had asked for a truck built with CAT parts and quality. The original plan was for CAT to supply the short block, and Navistar would put their cylinder head on it. But Navistar said the CAT short block was too expensive. The engine was German with Bosch components. The CT15 engine had a 5 valve cylinder head. The Navistar CEO told engineering to meet emissions without SCR (def). They had a smog waiver for several years but finally the feds said stop, it is never going to pass smog in this form. The engine was hard to work on (serviceability). The high soot level to attempt to meet interim tier 4 was too high, (all manufactuers) and plugged the cooler passages. I believe the Australian model trucks actually had the CAT ACERT engines. The Navistar CEO was canned for this fiasco not meeting emissions. Navistar is now Traton, owned by Volkswagen.
What kind off Fuzzie driver has lived in that cabine!?
