Rose farms an logging
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 13 ม.ค. 2018
Just a look into what we do in the woods and on the farm. I am a little bit old fashioned and do things differently than a lot farmers do now. But we are all still the same when achieving the same goal.
We are now proud to say we are a GOLDEN HARVEST seed dealer.

Real log skidder
Sounds like you might be low on Def fluid. I have a 66 tree farmer I make videos with that sounds similiar.
Old tree farmer is what I cut my teeth on good machines better than the ones they make today
@rosefarmsanlogging7993 mine is a c5, I just sold my left kidney to buy all new fluids and filters, I'm learning as I go as its all new for me, but it does well. I'm 7,500' elevation on a mountain so flat land is more of a dream then a reality...lol
I understand mostly hills here in butler county ky
Sparkle was here
Low was to
Nice how your able to record it very cool.
I try with the new tech drone it makes things easier
Pretty good trees
Is anybody got a goody powder
Been there done that that machine will work you to death
Sound like he's doing 90 Mi an hour but you have to hold your thumb up to see if he's moving LOL
“Screamin Demon” One of my fav skidders of all time 453 Detroit lol
It’s a 5110G
That base is from an older Wood mizer mill? My friend has one with the manual clamp. Only one and it is a monster. You dont want to drop the clamp on your hand. It is put forward or backward in the holes and height is adjustable using the Steps on the base and the cutouts in the holes. I like your rig. His is all manual. I think his is from the 1980s. Nice job.
Yes you’re correct that’s the way this one was for years until I was running my circle mill. Watching the carriage feed then I had a idea. To build this with a 90$ harbor freight winch. Working on a chain turner now will post videos of it when I get it done.
Has this tractor been good for you? Also how was your experience with Taul? Only been there once myself
I really like this tractor plan on buying 2 more over the next 4 years. As I replace my older tractors. Taul is very good to work with all the staff is extremely helpful anytime I call with questions on my equipment.
@@rosefarmsanlogging7993 good to hear about taul. My dealers around me are just so busy anymore that they don’t care to be that helpful. I get it, but it sucks for the guy that doesn’t spend 500k with them every year
Yes it does and it’s getting worse in all areas of farming. From equipment to fertilizer and seed
New technology is getting more HP. out of 4 cyl.
I used my header wagon to haul it
The wood is for lumber. .?
Yes
That's great, I just bought a 6 series tractor and love it. I'm interested in a 5g series also. How has the reliability been so far?
It is great the only trouble I have had is I over filled it with def one time and it didn’t recognize that I had over filled it so it depowered told my dealer what happened he came out personally and did a new software update on it that took that out of it incase I over filled it again. Other than that no trouble whatsoever I pull a John Deere 926 moco with flail cutting hay on steep hills 6x6 round roller and 15ft batwing doesn’t even know it has them behind it. Very stable on steep hillsides to. most of the time with 18 ft disk it pulls it at 5 to 5.5 mph without any trouble it could handle it faster but i dont want to ruin my disk to see
I also put a link in to my dealer in the description
Thanks for the info. It's definitely impressive what it will do. I'm assuming the fuel economy is excellent also.
Yes I can’t remember how many gallon tank is on this 5110 the case in the video has a 55 gallon tank it burned a full tank yesterday I worked same hours as it did only burned half a tank and 1/4 tank of def it has been very impressive. I am actually hooked to a Great Plains 24ft solid stand drill right now planting beans with the 5110g
Boring video
Du brauchst nicht ganz schön
Good video

Green skidder operator?
Shawn Balestro no had rack out of adjustment skidder was doing good to pull itself before I set it that was the first drag it made when I bought it plus it didn’t have brakes at the time
Nice to be back in the field with my dad and cousin
Duane yes I agree they sent that to me later that evening is how I got the video the smallest of that job was 38inch trees but at that time to I had just bought that skidder and put it in the woods had to bring it in and run the rack they had it turned way down but I got her screaming now look at some of my other videos you will see I will try to start posting more
I learned in my 36 yrs of logging with a cable skidder, when i cut them in two it pulled twice as easy.
"About 2 days.........."
Right!
What if the mill or buyer wants it to be precisely 302' long?? 🤣
big tree! like +
