Wizards in Winter might be the song you are thinking about.
Very interesting!
Lori you are a legend. Just cracked me up. Got loads of extras for the playlist now. I’m into the country whilst climbing lately. Lonely Road Jellyfish Road
Thanks for watching. Thrillled you enjoyed the chat about music and endurance sports. - Jason
The reaction never gets old BUT the thinking toward the end of the clip is a new reaction we hadn’t noticed before and is also hilarious.
Thank you so much for having me on. I really enjoyed this conversation. Thank you.
The pride flag is the flag of the enemy, when strife turns to war, I wouldnt be so proud to fly that mental illness symbol
Pedo flag...Oops I mean red flag
The timing of listening to you guys was epic. Appreciate the awesomeness of this whole concept. I was out on an endurance training session on the bike and was listening to this today. Came across another cyclist and it began to rain. I just heard you guys say “it’s the engagements” that we remember. She invited me for a coffee whilst the rain passed. I said yes. Now we are friends ❤
Thank you for sharing this story. Love when those connections happen when we least expect it. I hope the coffee was hot and the rest of the ride was safe. - Jason B

Hi There! 👋You are creating amazing video content.🎥 I just watched your latest video, and wow 👏🔥 I am so impressed by your content! I'm sorry to say this: 👏🔥You are struggling with video views and ranking. May I share some tips on how you can achieve your goals?😊
Loved this episode. Shoutout to Sidecar donuts. But carrot cake is a vegetable, not a cake.
Didn't mom say we should eat our vegetables? In that case, pass the carrot cake 🤣
good on you for teaching someone how to pronounce it properly (im a Labradorian but what odds lol). Fish & Brews is also amazing, childhood staple. my dad added onion to the rendered pork fat. The secret to the hard tack is not to over hydrate it, you want them stiff but soft like a boiled potato (it's a substitute, pretty much). Also YES Scrunchions are newfie chicharrons. Cant have dressing unless its Mt Scio savoury!!! Snowballs are great, but here in NL it's just as easy to buy Tunnock's Snowballs in most gas stations etc (same as their coconut bars). The other part of the province, btw, is where Birdseye discovered the freezing process for your modern frozen foods (but this was before 1949, so it wasn't a 'canadian' invention, and it was from a process learned from Inuit in the area, Clarence Birdseye lived for over 30 years in Labrador). Also in the area of pickling, my family would pickle red beets, as well as a pickle mix with onion, cauliflower and tomatoes with a sweetened mustard (wasnt really spicy, this was the time before Newfs and Labradorians discovered hardware store hot sauces and Takis).
Thank you for the comment. I appreciate you watching the show and taking the time to comment. Have you seen the show The Foods That Made America on the History channel? It has a great episode of Clarence Birdseye and how the business came to be. Fascinating information.
@@runtrimag i will have to look it up. Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern also did a great episode on NL food, mainly in the St Johns area, plus Bourdain did an episode here not long before he passed.
@@DaiAtlus79 thanks for the tips on those shows. Will check them out.
@@runtrimag anytime!! the Zimmern one is more of the traditional foods and he did some cod jigging, whereas Bourdain's dealt with some more heightened foods on the land here in Newfoundland. IM actually Labrador Inuit (Nunatsiavut) and we have some things like smoked arctic char that the sushi community LOVE. If you never had any before, think of Arctic Char as like Atlantic Salmon but BETTER!!!
@@DaiAtlus79 - It's almost lunch time and now my stomach is grumbling. 🤣
Loved the chat!! 10/10 would do it again.
We will have to get you back on the schedule to do it again. It was a blast.
I was following Chris and he has disappeared from instagram????!!!
Thank you for the comment. @trailtortoiserunning has reached out to him via email but has not heard back either. We hope that nothing serious has happened to him and it is just time away from social media.
I hope he is okay. Scares me a bit for him that he’s disappeared.
Santino Williams has lots of charisma. Great interview.
We loved having him on and engaging with him on Threads. This was a blast and thank you for watching.
Thanks so much for having me! Great conversation.
Thanks for coming on the show. We will have to do it again. Maybe look at the new year as people gear up for spring racing.
Such a good chat and solid human!
Loved talking with Craig!
It's a very specific alkalized cocoa, it does taste different.
We just loved his response to our question because you can see his brain processing and then just pure on laughter and having fun.
What's with the irrelevant flag?
Adam came correct to this show!
He knows his music and isn't afraid to get some Lady Gaga into the rotation.
Fantastic chat with Chris!
Wow, thanks for all the love! We're so excited to see Eugene do this thing next month.
We are excited to see what Eugene does at your event and will be cheering him on from here.
John is the real deal! That backpack is a labor of love.
Thank you for watching. Joe loves his and I'm sure that he will get more of us to try out the pack.

30 and 3 years of FREEDOM respectively
Such a great episode. Agree with the choices. Sauerkraut just has to go. And the bread might soften up if you run with it a few miles and be good eating further along the way.
@kevinmshea58 - thank you. We had a blast and I’m looking forward to having the tables turned next week when I get to choose what to eat, what to toss and what to carry with me. The bread softening up wasn’t a consideration but you’re right. Just might be a bit sweaty. 🤣🤣🤣

Second comment: I recently joined an endurance running community with a pay wall model for their coaching related information. I payed up $100/year to try and develop resources to support my fitness and endurance goals. I sampled a few others before deciding which to join. What my initial experience has been is that many of these up start communities of the last 5 years are all learning the “culture” part of endurance sports. My group has a problem many other sports have had in the past which is that many of the people they hold up as role models are not very good people outside of the sport. Many have views that drive them into endurance sports because they believe it is exclusively for people like them. Sharing the trails with people who don’t look like them, come from the same communities as them, or hearing from people within the group who come at their knowledge of these sports from other disciplines, is not very easy to accept for many in the dominant groups. In the next decade America will see an influx of African athletes coming to endurance sports. As more African youth come into the NCAA distance running, cross country, and swimming programs, remain in the United States to live and raise families, you will see endurance sports see a larger black presence and a dominating one. The number of young East Africans I’m trailing with in the hills here is SW Washington between Seattle and Portland is fairly impressive. These athletes will continue beyond the marathon and that will put them right in the heart of our endurance events. It’s important that we create communities and teams that welcome and appreciate every athletes journey and contribution. Endurance is our human super power. It’s important for our mental health and physical longevity. It’s a human thing right. So let’s be inclusive before it becomes us vs. you guys. That may sound like fun, but it should be teams, not racial or gender groups.
Thank you Jason for clarifying and emphasizing the issue of “imposter Syndrome”. It’s very real and has massive health and lifestyle implications to the negative side. Our society is full of unicorns and model minorities of some kind. The presence of an average archetype that pulls in everyone possible in an organic way has to be created and promoted because most of us are not that exception. Endurance sports is the worst when it comes to being set up to amplify imposter syndrome. If we don’t see it, we are part of that culture, and it’s important to talk about.
Thank you for your comment. Imposter Syndrome is something I deal with on a consistent basis and there are times where the stress and anxiety from it are difficult to deal with and I need to step away. Getting away in those moments is critical for me because I can self-reflect and see where we started, where we are and what we are doing to continue to move forward. That is in business and in my performance in endurance sports. - Jason
